His story reminds me so much of Alcibiades. Ambitious, talented, young man who was betrayed/unappreciated. Their ambition wouldnt allow them to be just name in history ao they did the unthinkable...

ESSENTIAL reading ... Books "Arundel" and it's sequel "Rabble in Arms" by Kenneth Roberts pub 1950s are the story of America's Northern army 1775-- 1778. General Arnold was basically the greatest and most sucessful American military officer of this period. But for the military political types who's jealosy defamed and discouraged him, which led to him abandoning our cause, His name would have been mentioned in the same breath as that of Washington. I must also recommend Robert's book "Oliver Wiswell," the Loyalist, Tory side of the Revolution.
