After listening to a few interviews of Dan’s he says that he wanted him and Parvati to win and split the money at the end. He would have been happy with that outcome. He wanted to stand next to Parvati at the end, him and her as “king & queen” of reality game shows, the two “best ever” etc and didn’t want to share that title or status with a housewife who he assumed wasn’t on his or Parv’s level. That’s really why I think he wanted Phaedra out from the very beginning. He just didnt think her good enough, based on his personal opinion. Thats why at the reunion Phaedra and Sandra and others didn’t buy his excuse. You can say “it’s just a game” to get off (the hook) but that does not mean that it isn’t also personal, and Dan’s choices prove that. They say “life is a game” and I think that’s where the intersections of the “gamers” and “reality stars” is really interesting because the reality bravo people etc deal with life - it is their life that they are playing with. And the “gamers” play a game(s) outside of their life or separate from it. Navigating life vs navigating a game. Two different kinds of “games”… but both games. Which is why the “its just a game” excuse is weird in mixed company (Also I love y’all!!!)

No, I think after Janelle his good friend totally went after him at that banishment, which was way more brutal than shown, & then he fell for an obvious trap, I think he just checked out and quit & voted himself out & gave his gamer world a gift on the way out. Otherwise he easily stays, Parv goes, could have recouped with a recruitment but he was done, there's so much mentally people can take. His reasons just made no sense on so many levels, because he needed Parvati to go anyway to absolve him from that trap & If he was worried about Phaedra, then he could have murdered her friends like Sheree because the traitors hold all the cards. Also I think the reason he did not go after Phaedra before banishment, because he knew it won't work & he was mentally done, lacked courage & was scared Phaedra would have ripped him so much before banishment that he would not even have been able to walk anymore, so he instead ,chose a more cowardly way to go out.

Dan didn’t know who Phaedra was, he saw a fancy black lady, assumed she was dumb, and never gave her a chance. He went after her from day 1, chose Parv for the purpose of helping him with that; and when he couldn’t, he blew her game up as a last ditch effort to stay himself. He treated her like trash. This is why she called him trash. So let’s not call her bitter or emotional . Dan was the one acting off of prejudice and emotion. She is just reacting to what he did to her. And it’s not strategy. This isn’t big brother or survivor. Multiple ppl can win. Multiple traitors, multiple faithfuls. No reason to do what Dan did from day 1

I felt bad for MJ. I get the “It’s a game” “it’s called Traitors” argument, but at that point you all won, you got out the traitors, just split the damn money! This is why they need to get normal, everyday people on the show, like the other countries, cuz they’d appreciate the money and take the W. It also gives them a chance to grow a platform & get their names out there, who knows what opportunities could come of it. I’m tired of seeing the same people hop from show to show. Plus then it would eliminate these reality stars coming in with preconceived notions of each other or the cliques that formed 🤮 it’s just less enjoyable imo. I get they do it for viewers but you got people hooked now, let’s try a new way

There are a lot of BB Dan fans who refuse to believe he tanked the season. Even at the reunion everyone admitted that the only suspicion on Phaedra was Dan giving her up. Dan made a deal with Trichelle and Janelle to give up the third traitor and that’s what he did. His entire argument about wanting to work with Parvati and not throw her under the bus is bullshit. Especially since everyone knew Parvati was a traitor already. So since that episode the traitors have been playing on their back foot the rest of the game.

I’m satisfy with the winners and even got a bit teary as a former Real World super fan! John needed to be quiet Dan did not ruin the season and his logic made sense he just moved too slow in gaining trust! I do think Janelle would’ve made a better traitor! She would’ve never attempted to kill someone with a shield after being told that person had the shield. The murders would’ve caused more confusion. ❤

And I think it hit a lot of people hard based on their Twitter reactions. As a fan of Traitors across all global franchises, It’s very rare (unheard of actually) that a traitor starts gunning for their fellow traitor on day 1. It makes no sense in the game. Even Cirie tried to work with Christian for a while. Some sort of bias or something was involved.

He’s literally known for being very sneaky, charming and NOT to be trusted (and got away with it and still win). So the fan’s already knew that with him on the traitors.. that they were 100% gonna make him a traitor. Same goes for Parvati (and arguably Sandra).. they were gonna have the HARDEST time in this game, traitor or not. So yeah it was bad timing on Dans end. However literally everyone said the same thing about/to Phaedra while at her banishment. I do understand other perspectives besides mine personally.

He we went with that narrative so he wouldn’t have to take accountability for his actions that clearly did not make sense. Dan doesn’t care because he was not the one affected by a snitch ass traitor because he was the snitch. That’s not how you play a true game or traitor. He robbed phadrea a chance to play a fair game as a traitor. I’m a long time watcher of The Challenge since the original show when it was called the Real World/Road Rules Challenge……so happy for CT and Trishelle!!! After Phaedra and Sheree got eliminated I definitely was rooting for CT to win it all. Wish He had won it all by himself. I know some are upset about MJ going home but I’m not. They should’ve gotten rid of her earlier anyway she didn’t contribute anything she was just carried along each episode….. she was pissed but oh well

Dan’s personal opinion thinking those from other type reality shows that are not game based wouldn’t be good at the game did play into his strategy moves but that still does not mean that his moves were personal as in hating on Phaedra just because. Also, he underestimated her as a person not thinking she’d be able to hold her own at the roundtables should she be came for and caught off guard. Still that does not mean his opinion (though incorrect) was to disrespect her personally. He did not know her or what she was capable of. He tried it and found out. So be it. It was all in context of the game. For Phaedra to have ill feelings in the moment I can understand - people have a right to their feelings but I would think not long after she’d have been a good sport about it looking back. Also she gave up in the game. She still had a chance if she had strategy in her and not just quick comebacks. But like she said, she was happy giving up the game to those who were left. But don’t hate on players like Dan who take risks and fight hard to stay in the game til the very end. Yeah, the reunion was weak. Love the podcast!

Canada had a good season. The main traitor played how Dan wishhhhhhh he cudda played. They also did something smart in Canada that the US needs to add. At the final banishment before the fire. That person does not tell you if they are a traitor or not. So now it makes it more difficult when they get to the fire know what's really what. Because u don't know was Sandra a traitor or not.

That’s what infuriates me, this CAST had all the potential to be a history making season. Such incredible television personalities like Phaedra, Janelle, Kate, CT, etc. but Dan outting the other 2 traitors as he himself was exposed literally ruined the game in that moment. The entire plot of the game was ruined and the show had no chance. Imagine if he hadn’t done that. Phaedra may have gone all the way undetected like Cirie. Now we’ll never know

Kate threw the green pouch to end the game without clocking that a traitor was still in the game because she was not thinking like both a faithful and traitor simultaneously although it was obvious a traitor remained. Kate was hoping that had everyone chosen to end the game as well, the prize would have not actually been split 4 ways but she would have successfully taken the entire prize for herself being the only traitor left in game.

Kate was a great traitor tbh. She was planting seeds for Phaedra to stay, she was pitting people against each other at the end, but then she ratted herself out by choosing to end the game! Everyone knows there’s at least one left so of course you wanna end it now and keep the money for yourself 🤦‍♀️ I do feel like she would’ve felt bad winning after coming in late to the game though

To me Dan logic would make sense if everyone didn't know he was a traitor Dan knew everyone knew he and Parv were traitors Trischelle shared this in a podcast that's why once he said her name everyone pretty much knew Phaedra was a traitor . It makes no sense to leave the game and have every traitor pretty much revealed to the house that's why the other season's are strategically better there was always a traitor flying under the radar. this season was better only on a entertainment standpoint.

This was a great season- for those who have watched other countries like the UK - Dan didn’t mess anything up. It’s a tactic that some traitors use. There is no set way to play this game. My eyes can’t roll hard enough when I hear people go on these moral rants about how to be a traitor or faithful for that matter. Also, I don’t think anything needs to be changed with the rules about if it gets down to faithfuls you lose money if you vote out a faithful - heck no- that’s feeding into that “be a good person” “win the right way” BS narrative. If you get down to just faithfuls and you and your bestie team up to take out another faithful OH WELL. It’s a comp reality show - get over it. I also think Bravo people and their fans want all this shock and awe drama for the reunion shows because the Bravo people LIVE their drama in their REAL lives. So they can sit up mad about something that happened last year. People from competition shows don’t hold on to stuff like that- so no - Dan is just going to be factual. Trash-yell is going to be indifferent asking why MJ is so mad. Because GAMERS are OVER IT. It’s been a damn year already. But the fans want all this “drama” and the gamers (especially Dan isn’t about that mess) so I didn’t find his answers “safe” they were FACTUAL but of course Bravo fans just want MESS - that Bravo people love to live in.

What infuriates me is this cast was top tier. This should have been the most iconic season ever. But the moment Dan outted Parvati by being suspicious. And then flat out exposed Phaedra, the entire plot was ruined. It ruined the entire show in that moment. We’ll never know how the season would have played out had Dan not handed the win to the faithfuls on episode 5 or 6. I truly think Phaedra may have won it all like Cirie if it weren’t for Dan.

Coming from The Challenge and knowing how a game goes getting down to the wire to win the money. I feel that CT and trishelle did a cookout move. They played with the audience and had a peter pal🤫 meeting off camera. And they came up the plan to get out Sandra first because they already knew they were going to get Kate. Also had Sandra been in MJ's position they would not have won that easily. Cuz sandra unlike Mj wudda been onto🧐 thier challenge games politricks. Their plan wirked cuz Mj is so innocent. Its impossible to have the show with no reunion when people always get burned at the end. You need a epilogue...esp for a murder mystery show, cmon tiff. Now if its boring thats one thing. But u cant have viewers watch week to week with no final thoughts. And itsveasy to be tame when your johnny, phaedra, mj, kate. Because they have money. Considering Trishelle tried to split the money with MJ bc she was suspiciousof CT, this argument doesn't make sense. (This is backed up by Sandra who said Trishelle and her had talks about it prior to her banishment. Plus, all of Trishelle's reasonings for being sus were valid) However, CT most definitely wasn't going to take the risk of losing all the money by taking MJ. They didnt have an outside relationship and didnt work too closely in game either. There wasn't full trust nor loyalty built in. We've seen on many seasons people think for SURE there isn't a traitor and stop the game only to lose. That's exactly how the traitors have won most seasons. Having a bigger cut could definitely factor in but I doubt it was the only reason. But I guess you can call him selfish though. Also, MJ got her appearance fee. It isn't like she went home with no money. She is also already a multimillionaire. That 70k minus tax wasn't going to affect her life at all. MJ didn't deserve the money because had she listened to clues Trishelle gave her, she would have put CT's name down the first time. Then, she votes Trishelle AGAIN after hearing CT all but say he was going to write MJ down again. I get it wouldn't have mattered, but at least vote the way that gives you a chance. I love MJ but she was at the end because she was easy to manipulate, naive, and not strategic at all. She could've helped herself win but instead didn't even use logically thinking on the final vote.

Very bad season was basically over by episode six. It just came down to who the traitors murder and who they let live and allow to win. Also reunion sucked. Worst host I've seen, he has no energy, no command over the discourse, who even is this guy? Otherwise nothing of note what said, would've been better if there was more discourse over the events, into the minds of the players, instead it was just very short, edited and left me wondering. Then just "Ok next question.."

@lifeisthedash hey there, I'm not a housewives viewer but know his producer style leans towards that medium versus game shows. IMHO, strategy reviews would be more in line with my preference. Alan Cummings would be the chef's kiss as he's invested in the game and perhaps not allowed to host and of course the distance...
