Maggy, the 3 of us were having a great time when we hit the stage. We got ourselves prepared before SHOWTIME. We had our goodies and we were Cognac drinkers, so at the sound of the drum we were ready.

Sweet heaven! The Tramps were huge at the clubs. A group of us went to a different disco dance club 5 nights a week back in the 70's. Women were all made up, in beautiful dresses and heels. Men all wore their best 3 piece suits. Danced until the places closed. Watch Saturday Night Fever movie to get a good look-see into the past. Everything closed down when the media destroyed disco. Too bad - lots of fun. Thank you for bringing back good memories. †

TOTALLY true my friend. Men couldn't get into the disco without dress pants, NO sneakers and us ladies used to spend hours doing our hair and make up and our dresses were BEAUTIFUL and we all wore high heels (stilettos were huge back then). I often wonder if someone opened a legit disco now, if the kids would come. The music was so upbeat and fun. It was the BEST of times.

Nice reaction. This is one of the few disco songs I liked back in the seventies. I didn’t buy their record but I remember recording this song onto a cassette tape while listening to it play on the radio. The lead singer has an amazing voice.

Man ! We used to burn up the dance floor at clubs when the DJs put this jam on. Especially the extended dance club mix which was something like 10 mins or more. The lights, the music beats booming through the place and folks just gettin down and having fun. There was work and school, but there was also disco at the end of a long week. People just worked out all their stress on the dance floor.

Just Jammin I wish you were alive with me in 1976 when this awesome anthem came along it changed the whole world and I will NEVER forget it or quit thanking God For It. What a magical time for America and the whole world when this powerhouse burst through our speakers and filled the air with joyous Disco Greatness. Thanks for another Fantastic Reaction and keep on believing my Brother in the Music because I am right beside you🤠

Disco Inferno was one of the most iconic songs in music history. Instantly identifiable! But what a lot of people miss is the fact that The Trammps were an amazing and UNDERRATED vocal group. Jimmy Ellis had to be one of the top soulful (gritty) lead vocalists you'll ever experience. Please please check out Body Contact Contract, Season For Girls, Where Were You When The Lights Went Out, That's Where the Happy People Go, Disco Party, Love Epidemic, Trusting Heart, etc....

This is the 70’s when disco music was huge. My sister use to go dancing all the time. She always use to say that people who hated disco music was because they couldn’t dance. 😀She was right. And actually this music is back only now it’s called “dance music.”

Really glad to see you react to the Trammps. There were several incredible motown inspired male groups that ruled music in the 70's. Tavares, The Temptations, O'Jays, Four Tops, Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, Spinners. Please give due respect to these amazing artists. Thanks.

I watched your reaction to the TRAMMPS "DISCO INFERNO", but you did all of us a dis service by not playing the extended version where they were wearing white suits with bell bottom trousers. The disco era was about that driving beat that drove you to the dance floor. I still think the 70's and 80's was the greatest music era. Disco began around 1974 in house rent parties using pirated records where gays and straight young people danced in New York Apartments. Disco clubs quickly spread all over the country. The biggest club and wildly popular was Studio 54 in New York. Disco died in 1979 as thousands of punk rockers, heavy metal fans congregated at the Chicago Cubs baseball stadium and burn thousands of disco records in the outfield. They developed a long campaign to drive out and kill disco, because not only was their favorite artist making disco records, their radio stations had stop playing heavy metal and rock. Thus Disco died. Studio 54 attracted the biggest stars, Sylvester Stallone, Mick Jagger, Diana Ross, Anorld Schwarzenegger, Michael Jackson and tons of others. It was very difficult to get in the club. I was fortunate once to get admitted. So treat yourself to that particular TRAMMPS video. Two other youtuber have reacted to this extended version. On another note, I requested you reacte to JAMES BROWN'S "KING HEROIN". I was unable to watch your reaction to the Bee Gees "TOO MUCH HEAVEN". I believe you said it had been blocked. Thanks for allowing me to voice my opinions. I think you are doing a great job as I've watched many of your video reaction. Adios

Yeah, that was kinda my thought too. Even for someone younger like him to say "70s or 80s?" is a bit silly. (made me chuckle) Disco & bell bottoms are quintisential (& even stereotypical) 70s!

Every time I hear this song it makes me laugh, because this is back when on Saturday nights my mother was still going to the local disco (they didn’t call at ‘the club’ at that time yet) when I was a kid, so it’s definitely the 70s!! 💃🏽🤣💯💅🏾🔥🔥🔥 Plus, Diddy and I are the same age, so he probably has similar memories.😂 A true time capsule. 🥰

In case you are wondering who the lead singer of The Trammps is, it's Jimmy Ellis who sadly passed away on March 9,2012 of Alzheimer's complications. R.I.P Jimmy, your wonderful voice will never be forgotten. Oh the song is a reference to the Towering Inferno movie,of 1975

Classic disco I guess but I’d like to class it more as classic funk. Tracks of this kind and bands like the Whispers (when the beat goes on) lead many of us towards jazz funk. I remember walking into a club in Tottenham London with two black friends I played football with (soccer to you American ladies and gentlemen) probably one of only 5 white guys in the place at that time and hearing the opening bars of Movin by Brass Constructionas I walk in it blew my mind away. Music then was the great bringing together of Black and White in love with the music which united them. It sad the way the world changed from back then.Ska Blue Beat Reggae were followed by skinheads black and white alike never a problem again in love with the music of that generation. A great shame skinhead culture and love of what was in fact Black Music as we see in bands like the Specials and UB40 Madness etc got ambushed by the far right idiots lunatics and turned into a racist cult as it’s origins were the total opposite. At least now we are better educated and our love of music past and present unites us in so many ways. Love the diversity of the music you cover. Every generation thinks it’s music was the best. I don’t think that I know it,god bless stay safe and be lucky everyone. Do yourself a favour check out Movin and Changing two classic tracks of Brass Construction or maybe Galaxy of Love by Crown Heights Turn the Music Up by The Players Association there are so many from that evolved from the disco era
