Is it more than a detail, more than coincidence that, at the Transfiguration on Mount Tabor, Peter said, let's build three tents. Then, when St. Paul was called it was a tent maker who was the one called by Our Lord on the road to Damascus? It might suggest a tent is needed when you're on a journey. King David carried The Tabernacle of The Lord in a tent and what was the answer when he said let's build a temple for The Tabernacle of The Lord? Likewise, Our Lord didn't want a tent on the mountain. Was it because the Apostles were not to speak about it until afterwards? Jesus, Our Lord, tells us that we are the temple of God when speaking about destroying this Temple and rebuilding it in three days. So, how do we sojourn with Him on this journey?

Peter wanted to make tents because he thought the messianic kingdom had been revealed finally, this is from a footnote of the RSV 2nd Catholic Edition.
