The Transformation Of Stevie Nicks Is Seriously Stunning

Stevie Nicks officially began her illustrious career in 1973 with the eponymous album “Buckingham Nicks” - a duo effort courtesy of herself and her then-lover and collaborator Lindsey Buckingham. The two would join Fleetwood Mac the following year, and the rest is, of course, standard classic rock history. But what was Nicks’ life like before the fame? What kind of childhood did she have? How did Fleetwood Mac’s superstardom affect her and her bandmates? What was her reason for kicking Buckingham out of the band in 2018? We think these questions - plus many more - deserve answering. So, let’s take a look at Nicks’ stunning transformation over the years.

That Stephen Davis book is TERRIBLE and entirely inaccurate. Additionally, she didn't decide to get the abortion on her own; Don didn't want the baby and essentially told her to get rid of it. I've been "in love" with Stevie since I first heard her voice in the 70's. I'd heard a lot of nice voices on my radio (Singers, DJs, Traffic ladies, etc.) but, invariably, when I saw their pictures, I was always disappointed. You could say "That traffic Girl has a " face for radio!"😄 When I saw Stevie Nicks for the 1st time, I was already in love with her smoky, sultry, nearly husky voice. When I first saw her, I couldn't believe that that big strong voice came out of that pretty little girl?

It's truly sad that Stevie and Lindsey can't bury the hatchet for us, their fans. Imagine their music being part of our lives again. They met so young in life they took each other for granted. What they had and still have is a real gift that needs to be shared with the world for either one of them to have their best life. I hope they realize how much we miss them before it's too late. They are true postivitiy in a world of gloom. We need them so much, together, not as solo artists. The magic exists with the two of them.

I think it's so complicated. To me it's more like their love was sacrifice so that they could both have careers. Fame is such a pressure cooker and lord knows they were everywhere in the 70s. Both musicians both songwriters both very proud of what they could do. That intensity was almost too much to bare and then you put a crowd of adoring fans eyes glued to this bewitching songstress but pretty much ignoring the side guitar player who really was the one who arranged and produced the band. Even stevie admitted that in her later interviews she said lindsey made mac what it became. My point is that living that for 20 years takes its toll. Long before that Lindsey watching his personal life slip away in her growing career nearly drove him mad. And all that passion love and pain became the biggest hits for the band. They made that sacrifice so their love had to be buried put away under lock and key. It's funny because although neither says it directly you get that feeling that each wonders if it was really worth it in the end. Lindsey finally left the band the first time in the 80s made his solo albums and got married and had kids at like 50. Stevie never did. Her career was all encompassing. She threw herself in it headfirst I think she was crushed that Lindsey escaped and git what he always wanted and it wasn't her. Yes there is and will always be something between them... something even they don't know quite how to name it... but it's like an old war wound you never truly heal from... and once in a while you feel a twinned of that old familiar pain. I adored them singing more often to each other about each other it's like we were really part of the furniture and they were in their own little world grasping desperately to save the love they once cherished when it used to be just the two of them. 💔💔💔💔💔💔💔

The interview where Lindsey says he feels like she said "him or me" he said some pretty hurtful things. To say to the world she is upset because he found his soulmate and had kids was a low blow to me. He could've said it was a schedule thing BUT everyone under that interview didn't say a word about that statement like ewwww... he didn't have to say it.

I’ve seen her once with Fleetwood Mac in at the Nassau Colosseum in 1987. I almost met them. I was dating a guy that worked the lighting for the colosseum and he brought me and a friend of mine underneath the colosseum to where the band was. Weeelll the last security guard that was to let us through knew my friend that I came with. She started a fight at the concert unbeknownst to me while I was watching the concert. He looked at us and said get them out of here before I throw them out. Oh man it’s still painful to talk about. We hung out with the roadies for the rest of the night. I wasn’t friends with that girl for long and she broke up me and the guy I was dating. Bad news she was. 😢

LB is far from being a guitar player I have ever been enamored with but facts are facts - Fleetwood Mac,even though they were established , definitely shot thru the RocknRoll Stratusphere because of Stevie Nick's voice and songwriting but - LB didn't have to bring her in - and Stevie without LB would be Sonny without Cher- My point is this - LB gets too much criticism and not enough credit for not only his sound but he and Christine were really the glue - the backbone of a band full of disfunctionable people at different points in their various careers - Mick was and is the Boss - he just chooses to be subservient to the Mystic One - In all fairness to all involved I don't know any of these people and I may be completely out of my somewhat rudimentary mind - it's just speculation -:I've always thought they were overrated in the first place -: 1 phenomenal record and the rest ......... In my opinion her statement Fleetwood Mac would’ve been unless she had an abortion, is an excuse as not to admit she was and still is in love with Lindsey, by going back in the band and not get tight up with Don Hanley, she sacrificed her baby. That’s sad, and it’s obvious her face shows so much anger and pain. Bet in her heart she must feel so guilty for what if, but you can tell she’s a Women that’s being shaped by pain drugs and pride not to admit she was wrong.

It's funny I wonder if Stevie ever thinks about how lucky she was that Lindsey was adamant that Fleetwood mac had to take both Lindsey and Stevie? It seems that these people forget how they got where they are. you can see it over and over in the music industry. Like George Harrison forgets that Lennon and McCartney Paid the way until george figure out how to write songs.

Nothing like thinking your stool doesn't stink. I can't believe that she kicked Lindsay Buckingham out of the band. If it weren't for him no one would have ever heard of her.

According to one of the other band members, he was kicked out after they had an argument. Lindsey chased her down and had his hands around her throat, and that was what made them kick him out. In the end they let him back in.

How a 15 year old girl talking annoyingly nonstop is enjoyable for narrating the life of a singer of this caliber and history is mindboggling. 30 seconds in and Im out.

Christine was the Queen of Fleetwood Mac, beautiful, quiet, modest and a great songwriter ❤. Stevie owes everything to Lindsay, had he not insisted they came as a duo, she would never have progressed to stardom. Lindsay as well as being an ace guitarist is a brilliant album producer, He single handedly produced Tango in the night whilst the others were spaced.
