So often water can be a confusing element in Age of Empires and in this game both players kind of avoided it for awhile. Eventually they both decided on two different strategies to try to break the other and this game turned into a doozy! mb vs Lady

Lady will make an excellent player one day. She had a plan of Magyar Huzsar and stuck to it, but at the same time made transports, trebs, and scorps to help the plan be successful. It was a bit of a drag, but it was actually genuinely enjoyable to watch her play.

I love relic mods *edit, and the monk pointer mod. There is also a mod that plays a little orange effect when a unit gets converted. That could be good for viewers as well imo.

Hey T90, I felt called out by one of the earlier LEL video's for not playing ranked so I jumped into it a few days ago. Won my first two somehow and lost a bunch after that. Still, like you said, they were fairly even games so it was a lot of fan. Thanks for the nudge!

Blue really struggled with the army/navy/eco balance there. I really didn't feel like Lady was going to lose that game - such a massive bank of resources especially wood and gold. Blue just couldn't really break that corner even with the water domination and it was only a matter of time until Lady got out

The transport ship bug is something that I have noticed with transports and rams since I was a kid. I think it happens sometimes when you try to put a huge army in a transport or ram, they just keep moving for some reason lmao

Yep, it's always been in the game since AoK. When you click a unit to board a distant transport, then if possible it will sail towards the unit. However, if you click with multiple units, the game has a fixed order based (mostly) on how you selected them, and the ship will sail from one to the next, while the units themselves keep trying to run to the ship's new position, often leading to some comedy chase scenarios.

To be fair, I love the snow in the map for a change. I would like the environment could effect units and building too for more tactical approach. E.g cavalry speed decreased in the snow, building time increased on sandy terrain, archer accuracy decreased near trees or forest and so on.

Using a mod that puts a little star above relics "making it easier to play" by making it easier to see? I myself would consider that cheating. You could just use the mini-map and look like for the white dots like normal. If casting a game, I find no issue, but you said "making it easier to play".

I made a mod a long time ago that gave magyar hussars 1 range. problem is every time there is a patch it overwrites the mod file and I have to remake it :/
