A thing I also really enjoy about Berserks characters isn't just the harrowing experiences they go through, but the various different ways they respond to it. Guts has always responded with rage, if he's hurt by something he kills it. Asses and eliminate threat. He's almost animalistic in it. Griffith instead runs away and distracts himself by self harm or, yknow, sacrificing everyone he loves to evil. As you do. Casca regresses and shrivels from it, her mind simply being unable to cope with the vast amount of trauma she was forced through and understandably so. Jill and Rickert, though not as substantial as the others, instead find a healthier way and face it head on and overcome it Farnese turned to whatever easy solution she could, this one being religion and it's worst qualities to justify her pain Serpico shrugs it off and pretends everything is fine, continually lying to himself and those around him Schierke bottles it all up to present a stalwart and unshakeable image (and fails pretty badly) Isidro uses comedy as an outlet to try and make his own bleak existence a tiny bit more bearable (people never really mention Isidro in these but think about it for a minute and you'll realise just how shit this kids life has been) And many other examples, some of these are obviously healthier than others but it's the realistic variety that I've always appreciated

berserk is still the best showcase of trauma within manga that iv seen, nearly every character has a level of trauma that is genuine and realistic

i finished berserk a few months ago and i got to say that was one of the most depressing endings ive ever seen i hope we get some new chapters soon bro i cant be left on this cliff hanger. the amount of anger i felt was unreal, ive never been so invested in a story but Griffith taking Casca from Guts at the end was so heartbreaking.

I got pretty fat. I had an injured knee and couldn’t exercise for a few months, and then i also got sick for a few more months. But with hard work and determination. I’m getting my jawline and neck back and losing my flabby belly 👏

10:43 They say that trauma that isn't transformed is *transferred.* So which one did Guts really do to Theresia?
@ModernVagabondIsHere7 ай бұрын
You can definitely see an attempt at a transfer of truama with guts here. No doubt this was also a coping mechanism for Guts at the moment
