Yeah, you heard the numbers of the Inari Sámi people, not many. And to complicate things, there are 3 Sámi languages in Finland, and a few more on Swedish and Norwegian sides, and a few very periled in Russia, altogether 9, and at least 2 that have extinguished in the historic era. The Northern Sámi (Davvin Sámi? Davvisámegiella, giella means language) is a bigger group, biggest of all the Sámi languages: it's a different language than this Inari Sámi. I wouldn't hear a difference, but I don't live in Lapland. On the paper you start to see the differences of course. Anyway the languages are naturally related, and the cultures very similar. There are less of the Northern Sámi in the Finnish Lapland than the Inari Sámi, but a few thousand of them also. Most of them live on the Norwegian side of the border, some in Sweden - about 15k altogether. Those borders are no real obstacle (except to Russia), especially for these indigenous people with permits. Then there's a 3rd Sámi nation in Finland - the Skolt Sámi. They are the smallest of the 3. They live East of the Inari Sámi. So few of the Sámi overall, that the chances are you see one in KZbin, you'll meet him or her on many other videos from the locality.

Don't call it Lapland. Lapp is a derogatory term for the Saami which means "wanderers", that they are lost and don't know their way
