I definitely don't think we've been given enough context yet to say that a member of Rocks' crew not eating the dragon fruit doesn't make sense. You make it seem like everyone on his crew would have been chomping at the bit to steal and eat it out from under Rocks' nose, but that doesn't make sense to me. Sure we know that the crew dynamic is pretty dysfunctional and that they don't get along with each other, but they were ALL under Rocks for a reason. Don't sleep on his reputation. It was probably a mixture of fear & respect that kept anyone from eating the fruit if Rocks' didn't want them to. Maybe he was saving it for a competition of his own, and let it be known that anyone who tried to eat the fruit in an illegitimate manner would be dead before sundown.

Its the big Yoshi egg we first see Roger have on his ship in the Edd War (IMO Shikis first manga canon appearance in the same chapter the stolen Hachinosu treasure is revealed is no mere coincidence). And I think that the egg is actually the last living dragon egg in existence (Game of Thrones style), which Rocks wanted to hatch to gain a weapon to use against the World Government and to easily raid Marijoa. The World Government in turn stole the egg because actual Dragons are the reason they won the War 800 years ago, because Dragons (real ones, not a DF Dragon like Kaido OR he needed to awaken to actually use the ability) are the only natural source of the "Eternal flame" fuel that Vegapunk synthesized. And where is the egg now? It was probably hatched by Roger and of course befriended him, but because Roger knew that the dragon would likey be enslaved by the WG/Pirates so he hid it in ONE PLACE in the world that is hidden to this day. And that same place has the thing Dragons are most famous for, loads and loads of treasure. The "Sacred Jewel" is a live dragon that is guarding the One Piece, waiting for the return of Rogers/Nikas/Joyboys progeny.

I'm still on the Theory that the 'Shanks' that visited the Holy Lands wasn't Shanks but a relative, Twin maybe. Since around the time that chapter came out, before or after (I forget which) we see Shanks on some random island of rock looking at Luffy's new Bounty Poster. Just thought, going along with the theory, maybe Shanks was the younger twin so he was put in as a prize while the Older one wasn't. Or maybe they both were as Oda likes to put babys into chests

He's the last man I'll let--" Big Mom says "Calm down Kid" but Stussy says "Today's the final fight, I assume" so whatever the Crown Jewel is they've been fighting over it with Roger for awhile. Even Gloriosa says "we'll settle it once and for all". So if its just fruits which one did Roger want? The only one I can think of is the Gomu/Hito and maybe Rocks got it, ate it and got killed so the fruit got lost again ? Big Mom says too "All these dreamers with their heads in the clouds"

@@29Blockhead There are two reasons: 1. It's just a single fruit. Yes, it's power is terrifying. Yes, it represents something rather dangerous for the WG. But, as Kaido said, there's no way that someone can rule the seas with just a Devil Fruit. For the WG, getting their hands on the Hito Hito no mi was important but it wasn't the most important thing to deal with on the whole. Indeed, no one had awakened the fruit in the last 800 years so why should they expect this time to be any different? 2. You can't just send the admirals after anyone you like. That would certainly raise suspicions among the higher-ups but you have to also realize that there's shit going on in the New World all the time. Keep in mind that Shanks only became a Yonko 4 years before the timeskip. That's right, Shanks was raising enough hell in the New World to become an Emperor. This suggests that, in the New World, pirates are fighting almost all the time in vying for supremacy. Therefore, the Admirals are heavily restricted; they can't just do as they like and go wherever they want, whenever they want. That's part of the reason why Garp didn't want to be an Admiral.

I don't think there would be more devil fruits in God Valley during the event. Ginny only mentioned the dragon and the paw fruits being there and they being their way to escape the island. If the float fruit or the quake fruit were there, then she would have mention them as a recurse of escaping the island. About the treasure that was stolen from the pirate island, it might have been those devil fruits, we don't know how long they had those fruits. It could have been under Rocks possession the whole time and he was still thinking on who to give it too. Maybe Kaido really wanted the fruit and Rocks was dangling it over his head to get Kaido to do stuff for him. And for Shanks, I still have no idea how he could have ended up in one of the chests, did Garling bring his baby to the event? Maybe it's a baby from a slave woman? Could make sense as he wouldn't be a full blooded Celestia Dragon, so might be why the Celestia Dragons didn't try to rescue Shanks from Roger

So, Monster's takes place in a kind of Western looking town which matches up a lot with what little we can see of the buildings on God Valley. It's entirely possible it's called God Valley as a shortening of Sword God's Valley after Ryuma killed the dragon. Potentially that's why the Island is sliced in half. I would not be even remotely surprised if it is a Dragon Egg after all and that it was found at God Valley.

If Shiki can float by making his leg-swords float, then that means he should be able to make anyone float using their clothes. I believe it goes like this 1. Shiki cannot make people float 2. Shiki can make anything float as long as the object is in agreeance with the first rule 3. Shiki is the exception to these rules. Example: You attack Shiki with a weapon in hand, he touches both the weapon and your pants, your weapon floats out of your hand, your pants do not float because they are attached to you

That sounds right. Shiki himself said he can't make people float other than himself, though maybe if they were attached to something he might be able to.... Like strap someone to a chair, he makes the chair float (because it's basically telekinesis at that point) and the person get dragged along for the ride.

Crazy Theory but what if the Treasure was a Devil Fruit and it was buried to Hachinosu. And that is why no pirate had eaten it but they knew that it was buried there. So they dug it out and before they knew the Goverment stole it along with all the other chests,that is why Big Mom tried to take both Fruits and not just the Azure Dragon because she wasnt sure which one is the Treasure. Also what if Uranos is a Devil Fruit, i mean a Living Being(Poseidon), a Ship(Pluton) and Dreams(=Devil Fruits) makes sense for Onepiece. So Roger takes the chest with the Ancient Weapon only to found out it the Fruit was swapped with Baby Shanks. Shiki said to Roger about the Great Weapon he found.

2 things. 1) can devil fruit rot? I mean never seen one out in the world for that long but could one rot? Like a banana. 2) what if the celestial dragons pulled a black beard and killed the former fruit user then (assuming they know how to) caused it to reappear to a fruit they wanted to to keep it. I believe we've seen something like that before.

I don't think they can rot, but if they do it is safe to assume that the power inside the fruit would be reborn into a different fruit. Of course nothings been confirmed. For the sake of the fiction Oda likely won't touch on that cause it's not really relevant. I feel like if it was it would've been made apparent or atleast foreshadowed earlier. Idk if I'm exactly understanding your second point, but if you're suggesting they got the fruit for the chests by killing someone at the hachinosu thats actually a pretty good thought. My only reason for not fully believing it is they specifically say the pirates are going after a treasure and if they were trying to get revenge im gonna assume they would've said that. It would make more sense then them just having a df sitting on a mantle tho.

Regarding whether devil fruit can rot -- are you implying the fruit rots away & the power disappears for everyone? Or are you suggesting someone can gain a "rotten" version of the ability, possibly changing it forever?
