The thing about John was-he’d go into great detail why he couldn’t afford to pay you a decent amount for your work as an artist/illustrator-and then, absentmindedly, tell you 20 minutes later about some kitschy artifact he’s about to pay 10k for.

Yeah, I picked up on a lot in this documentary that I instinctively know would back up what you just wrote. I don't want to insult the guy because I don't know him but he seems a little loose when it comes to morals.

I intuitively can't stand this guy (Long Gone John). People need to suffer for this guy's collection of goodies. Big surprise!
