Treehouse Villas are a dream for me. We're a family of soon-to-be 5, and the 3 bedrooms seem ideal for WAY less cost (points or cash) than a 3 bedroom Grand Villa, especially if we bring a friend or 2 with us. Of course with a baby on the way all of it seems more and more like a pipe dream, but I'll keep on watching and dreaming with my fingers crossed we can make it happen eventually! Thanks for the great review, I'm also super excited to see what the refurbishment looks like when it's all finished.

First and foremost, CONGRATZ! 😄🎉 Yeah, price wise, it's definitely more reasonable than some of the other options available on property. . . especially if you're needing a place to sleep 9 or 10. I mean, during our stay, the price was around $1100 per night, cash. That's really not too bad and using points wasn't too bad either. I want to say it was 32 points per night. I'm excited to see what the refurb brings as well. While I love the current vibe, I do think that there are some areas that could/should be improved upon and I'm looking forward to seeing what they do!

@@2foolishmortals Thank you! It's exciting to be able to say it now :D Looking up the Treehouses, the overall point cost is very comparable to a 2 bedroom at a lot of resorts; slightly more expensive than a 2br at SSR depending on time of year (in November it worked out to 1 point more, up to ~30 points more at another time I checked) which seems well worth it for the extra bedroom and space. I wish I'd known about the cash cost back in 2022, that's roughly what we paid for a 1br at Bay Lake Tower.

Yes the treehouses feel like a "home" but most 2 and 3 bedroom villas give that spacious homey vibe. I think if you had a 3 bedroom at AKL you would've been blown away. There is no comparison of any 3 bedroom to the cabins at Fort wilderness. Apples to Apples would be 3 bedroom at Congress park to the Treehouses😉

Having to bus/boat hop to get the parks seems to be a bit of a hassle if you have an ECV person in your party. Stay safe.

It's definitely an extra step, that's for sure. However, with the walking path that will take you right to The Grandstand section of the resort [where you can also catch a bus to the parks] it doesn't have to be that big an ordeal, even if you've got an ECV in your party like we did. Still though, I don't think this is an ideal location for everyone. . . especially those who really want that GO GO GO type of vacation. It's better for a more relaxing vibe. It's not nearly as "out of the way" as I initially thought it was though.

ooh, treehouses getting a refurb...welp, that might throw them back in the top 3, if the price is right... you can also walk easily to disney springs, which is a big W
