its getting harder and harder, feels some of this games are won more by his speed than because he can overcome the queen for minor piece difference. Once the game gets down to 10 seconds it seems the quality of just about everybody else drops down to slugs while hikaru remains pretty good. Its really good and interesting, lets see how far he can go.

There's no "overcoming" the loss of a queen against a good player: if he doesn't blunder or flag, you'll lose. You weirdly seem to think one of those ways of winning is illegitimate, even though the game being played is speed chess.

When you try to follow the games as a novice, but at 16:35 it essentially devolves into taka-taka-taka-taka-taka-taka-taka-taka while the opponent only goes taka-taka-tak...taka-tak..taka-taka...tak-taka... tak-ta.... The most apt comparison I can come up with would be a GM's brain going 2x speed Brain Power by Noma vs 1.25x speed by the opponent. Nevertheless, this offers some great insight into how great minds do their work, even if it is just a fleeting glimpse of the gears that grind in the background.

It probably doesn't work, champ. For example: 1Rxe5 Qh2 2 Rc5 Qg1+ and the R on c5 falls or 1Rxe5 Qh2 2Rb5 (so it doesn't get forked again) Qh1+ and either the R on f3 or the B falls or 1Qh2 R(5)f5 (so the R's protect each other, and the forks don't work) 2Ne7 R(5)f4 3Nd5 Rf5 4Nc3+ Ke1 5Qe2#
