@@olfan92 Actually, this can happen purely from framerate when looking at someone else's character. If I log into 2 accounts, and set the background fps on them to 30 and foreground to 60, set the inactive window to FOLLOW the active window, the inactive window character will teleport and jitter about constantly. Very obvious when you have 2 accounts and actively play both at the same time.

1:43 Different realms have different cultures. I haven't played the game in the sense that I was doing endgame content on curve since Bastion of Twilight. Since then, if I'm playing WoW it's mostly RP, with trips to dungeons to get gear. Though in recent years I haven't been on much- only returning yearly for the Tournament of Ages on Moon Guard, which I recommend people look to as an example of what hardcore roleplay looks like. Just lots of people writing in-character and exploring possible plot developments for their characters.

Having been playing this game since December of 2007 i can say while i no longer play the game "hardcore" or "serious" i certainly have more fun with it since i stopped playing it that way. I got tired of the gear cycle rat race around CATA & it was around that time i was considering quitting. Then they added collections & i got to see all the things i had up to that point. That's when it clicked for me. A way too play the game & actually feel like I'm making progress rather then just spinning my wheels. Been having way more fun with the game since where my end game is now just seeing how close to 100% complete i can bring my collections. A never ending journey & with the new warbands mechanics it's made it even more fun to do.

Not a bad idea about the always online but I have one much better. Why not add a huge giant multi-instances tavern basement in some of the Stormwind taverns and have players who log out there have their characters remain sitting there until the players log back in. It would even give some mild interaction opportunities like leaving gifts or trading stuff. You could also „Teleport to the Offline Camp“ of a player and interact with offline characters) like imagine a mix between the login screen and an always online garrison.

Prodigy 2.0 is out now too. I'm not playing GTA, but I can tell when a streamer is actually having fun playing the game. Streamers playing Purple and Prodigy 2.0 seem to be enjoying themselves more than streamers playing nopixel right now, even though both sets of players are ostensibly "grinding". My theory is that it's simply the novelty of learning new mechanics which is causing people to switch servers. So not even GTARP storytelling is going to be able to escape the multiverse trope. Most people hate the feeling of being behind in wow it's the worst. So this launch will definitely alienate people. As a low estimate let's say 30 percent of people who were going to play decide the early access has made it so they don't want to play due to being to far behind or just annoyed them and made them decide not to participate. Let's just say 30 percent low ball mark wouldn't blizzard make way more money if that 30 percent just subbed for a few months because the amount oer month would cover the early access money made in no time at all. Losing potential subs is way worse than people not buying early access
