It’s really amazing how much you can extrapolate from this scene. Like the sisters came to the U.S. to strike it big in the big apple and make it to Hollywood which for the time it was set would have been the dream for most upcoming stars. They didn’t make it like many others have failed but their music improved over time and the sound they developed really shows how much they melded and adopted with the culture of the city. An urban style that really reflected the melting pot of cultures at the time when so many immigrated to the country for new opportunities

2:19 I love that the Bach Prelude No. 2 from the beginning of the film (the jazz pianist on the television) is translated to the bicycle wheel. An excellent and subtle detail!

La vi en la cd de México en el Cinemex de TWC, estaba yo solo y la película se proyecto nadamás para mí, la Vi porque estaba cansado de ver lo mismo y quise ver algo diferente, no me gustó pero no me desagrado, me llamo la atención por tratarse de una caricatura francesa; la volví ha ver en el zócalo en septiembre del 2003, la pasaron en forma gratuita.
