Glad to hear you back up Brian Epstein! No other manager would've had the sheer imagination to support the Beatles the way he did- he saw their potential before anyone else did. He understood that it was more than music- he gave the world something to love.

Greetings Matt ✌️, Had a wonderful weekend watching your video with Glenn Greenberg and look forward in picking up his Trivia book - a couple a years ago I remember spending time with one of my nephews and we started playing Beatles trivia just to pass the time and it's mind blowing to know how much my teenage nephew knew about the Beatles, it's nice to know that the younger generation Loves the Beatles, I'll be picking up a copy for him too.👍 Great conversation with Glenn, Cheers 🍻

Here is a great trivia question I don’t know the answer to- Who was the genius at EMI that said don’t ever erase anything the Beatles record. I believe it was standard practice at the time to re-use tape.

Still hard to fathom that after the long slog that was recording "Let It Be" and performing the Rooftop Concert, there was only a 3-week break before returning to the studio with George Martin to record "Abbey Road."

Just saw an interesting interview with George Harrison’s sister Louis Harrison rip 🙏 It was about her 2019 book ‘My Kid Brother’s Band’ and how she helped the Beatles in 1963 in the States, as she was living there at the time, have you read it? It’s certainly a unique story that wasn’t known at the time!

A fascinating and entertaining chat with Glenn, Matt! His bookazine sounds fun and definitely one to get hold of. Is it availanble in the UK though? You both mentioned that George Harrison turned down CSN for Apple Records and I was thinking, was George still feeling miffed about the Hollies' version of 'If I Needed Someone'! which he didn't like! Thanks for a great video, Matt!

Very interesting interview video Matt! Glenn can really talk and is delightful. Enjoyed your defense off Brian Epstein. Very underrated part of the Beatles history. I chuckled a bit when you two hinted about being older Beatle fans. I think your both still on the younger side. Will definitely buy the book. Enjoyed Paul at 80. Super job Matt! Thanks.

My friend Matt. I'd like to use this place for not only to thank you for one more great video, but also to ask you about if was posible to make a video on Burt Bacharach's musical legacy. As we know, along with Hal David; the now missing Bacharach composed and produced, specially in the sixties, songs that are seem like real classics of the contemporary music (like: "Walk On By"; "(They Long To Be) Close To You"; "I Say A Little Prayer"; "Promises Promises"; "I'll Never Fall In Love Again"; "What The World Needs Now Is Love"; and others). For the seventies and eighties, now with the partner Carole Bayer Sager, Bacharach composed songs like: "That's What Friends Are For" and "The Best That You Can Do (Arthur's Theme)". An idea of a video, for you, my friend.

Hi Matt Just Rewatched this Beatles Trivia Video with Glenn. He is a Great Guest- watched the Paul McCartney at 80 Video when you posted it. During the course of this Video- Brian Epstein & Neil Aspinall were brought up. I would be interested in a video devoted to Both Men to get a more Comprehensive Look into their Obvious Connection to The Beatles Particularly Neil who was Good Friends with Pete Best & stayed with The Beatles after Pete was Fired & Would become one of the very few people within the Inner Circle of the group. Nice touch of getting into David Crosby as the Video was towards the end. He was much Beloved by me as the Member of my Favorite Group- The Byrds along with CSNY. Hope to see Glenn in some future videos. Take Care and Stay Safe/Healthy

In my own recent meanderings with Beatles, I started inquiring about the road crew of the Beatles. I came across some interesting things about how much they were paid, what they did and their relationship with the group members themselves. Stuff like that. The roadies of the Beatles, in particular Neil Aspinall and Mal Evans were close friends with the group. They were part of the entourage that went to India, but not Bangor. Since they were closer to Brian Epstein, I wanted to find out their reaction to his death. History doesn't record it as far as I could discover. Mal Evans himself had an odd and tragic death where he was shot and killed by police in 1976. So, you can go pretty deep with stuff when it comes to the Beatles.

Where Mal Evans is concerned, maybe his diaries that are due out this year will give us some insight to his relationship with Brian and the Beatles.

Matt, Glenn is a greatpleasure to listen to. I loved the spinoffs to Crosby and the rejection of CSN by Apple. Glenn clearly shows his love and enjoyment of what he does. I realize that it this is just a personal opinion, but I will repeat that I find Rotundo pretty jpyless, or at least joyless in his interviews. Glenn's smiles and laughter seem more in keeping with your own upbeat manner on your videos. Both you and Glenn convey the joy of the music to this listener. Thanks for a quick hour of listening!

@@barbbowen3572 Barb - I have a tape of that SNL show. Paul Simon sings "Still Crazy After All These Years" in a turkey costume. He also performs "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover", "Bridge Over Troubled Waters" and "Something So Right". Paul Simon and George Harrison play two songs together: "Here Comes The Sun" and "Homeward Bound". Also during the show - two George Harrison promo videos are shown: "Crackerbox Palace" and "This Song". Those two songs were NOT performed live... they were the promo videos for the two new Harrison songs (the exact same promo videos that can be seen on KZbin today). Here is a link for both of those promo videos... "Crackerbox Palace": kzbin.info/www/bejne/bnLGZGeBncpgnMU "This Song": kzbin.info/www/bejne/imHMaqWgid2bprs So there were four songs performed by Simon - and two songs performed by Simon & Harrison... plus two Harrison video promos of his new songs. That is a total of EIGHT different songs that were a part of this SNL episode. I'd guess that must be a record for one SNL show.

A couple of months ago I came across a KZbin video of a Beatles press conference, probably from around ‘64 or ‘65. The guys were seated on a short dais in front of a curtain. A little way into the interview, this young guy (teenager? Kid?) appears from behind the curtain (on the left). He just stands there listening to the Q & A. But for some reason he attracted my attention. Maybe his baby face. Then it hit me. That’s David Crosby! I read somewhere that he had met the Beatles at some point. He looked too young to have even started with the Byrds, though. Maybe... But I loved this because I’m a big CSNY fan, too. I’m wondering if anyone has seen this and could name the press conference, city, or year. Thanks for the great interview!

I answered a Beatles question on a radio station here in Chicago. What did George say the Beatles did in their hotel room in between concerts? Answer Ice Skate, which I knew I read once in a book so I went back to search a couple of books and found it. The question was asked again the next day and I got through and answered it correctly. Found in Here Comes the Sun, page 47.

could not find Glenn Greenburg in Barns and Noble at Mall of America, nor did the employee I talked to find it (however I couldn't see their computer screen as they looked). Matt, I loved this hour and the conversation with Gleen. I was on the verge of telling you "your so great when you are alert and perky, but please stay focused like you used to. BUT, Id even when in Glenn's words you drifted "way off subject" I then thought I'd be remiss if anything I said kept you from such interesting meanderings. GOOD work if we can call it work. I suggest "informative fun", And its Mind boggling how you two youngsters are so into the Beatles, I was 11 years old when I heard "I want to hold your hand" and I was all in, and, although not by any means too young, I'm considerably older than you and Glenn. Ain't it a wonder to think about? and try to imagine how it happens.

That's was an enjoyable conversation with an interesting CSNY diversion. Last year I came across a short KZbin clip of George Harrison saying how he really does not like Neil Young's singing voice. Being a long time Young fan I can nonetheless understand how someone might not enjoy his singing or guitar. Harrison and Young are coming from two different places musically, emotionally, geographically.

Where CSN and Apple is concerned I have to wonder if George wasn't intentionally doing them a favor by turning them down, knowing the general mess from the beginning that Apple was. I haven't heard the interviews or the stories specifically, but I'm pretty sure there was never a time when George was terribly enthusiastic or excited about Apple. I have to believe that Apple was a major point of contention between George and Paul leading up to his departure from the group during the Get Back sessions and ultimately the souring their friendship, albeit among other things, which I don't think ever really fully recovered. Since Apple was predominantly Paul's thing from the beginning, it would seem both George and Ringo having significantly smaller fortunes than John and Paul, going in, had a lot more to lose. in the end, and in way, had to feel like Paul, almost thoughtlessly, had gambled away all of their futures along with everything they ever worked for, when it became evident that they were riding on the Titanic. Not that this was the case necessarily, but at the time at least, I can only imagine, it would've been difficult not to see it that way.

I think the biggest mystery connected to the Beatles is Yoko. I don't understand her at all. Her personality, her motivations, her appeal to John, and so on. There isn't without reason that she is called dragon or witch and is blamed for splitting up the Beatles. She is really terrifying on some deep psychological level, because she can't be fitted into any known role and be understood with the information that we/I have. It is like a piece of the Great Unknown just showed up in reality. She is just too strange. I guess if I knew more about her this might all go away, but then I would also have killed the mystery.
