The Trojans Have Their Defensive Staff Set

Lincoln Riley assembled his final piece for the new defensive staff. Former LA Rams defensive line coach Eric Henderson has joined USC in the same role, plus the title of defensive run game coordinator to his resume'. Henderson is highly-regarded and is considered one of the best in the business as voted by his peers.
In the 2nd segment, I review the defensive staff selections, their roles on staff, and how this impact USC going forward with recruiting.
Caleb Williams made it official, he declared for the NFL. I have some thoughts on his time as a Trojan in the third segment of the show.

This new staff may not overcome “the bag” for some five star recruits, but those who are thinking long term and are confident they have a chance to make it to the NFL, will certainly take notice of what’s going on here. Every one of USC’s #1 draft pick went on to star in the NFL, that’s a pretty special stat! Fight on!

Riley looked great on sidelines watching baker and Jalen. Nice for the commentators to point him out with both his QBs. Worth the trip there. Hopefully he stops at Tuscaloosa on the way home and has layovers in Tucson and Seattle to grab some portal guys

Yes. But the portal is almost closed and we are not only lacking enough big bodies, we r just flat out missing bodies. FSU and others going to tuscallosa and grabbing everybody and not a mention of usc for any of these guys remaining

With this staff, I feel very comfortable in predicting the defense will see improvement from the bottom half into - at the very least - the top half of the national rankings.

Marc my man,... I wish saying you were a position coach at SC still did have cache,... but we have had way too many bad ones lately and our rep is certainly tarnished. That really used to mean something under MckAY, JR, and CPC. And, CLR says "final member of our D staff" as if to say keep CPC away from here? Or would it be just a corner office somewhere for Pete to view film stats and game plans at his leisure and don't clash egos with me since I have to be the next great HC at SC..... Just saying... Great on Taylor Mays. What about Chrstian Topu? Still around? Also, what about S&C?

Let me be the first to say - I am now concerned about USC's offense. My concern is USC's defense will dominate the offense in practice so much so that offensive players will be so concerned that they won't show up for games. I'm not serious just waiting for someone to say the above.
