This was probably the most beautiful browntrout of my first trip to Laxa Laxardalur in northern Iceland. Unfortunately, the conditions this week where tough. Heavy rain and wind and temperatures between 5° and 7° Celsius.
During the only good weather window that week, we found a rising trout, probably sipping tiny midges.
After we tried endless patterns with no success, like a signal from the universe, a buzzing caddis came floating down, right in the lane of the trout, which ate it right away. See what happened next...
Thanks to Gummi and Stu for filming with their iPhones and sticking with me!
