@ yeah for us it did on PC. I did mess it up one night and didn’t have the stairs oriented right so I was stuck going over the stairs to go through the air lock lol. But that was our own fault

14:30 If you don't have the metal skin and your using barrels, don't upgrade center triangle roof to metal until AFTER you place the car ramps and pick up the barrels on top and lanterns. The regular metal roof gets in the way as do the top barrels and lanterns.

Personally I love making bunker bases, because by the time they realize how many rockets they need, they have already wasted them. Sure the loot upstairs is valuable but who cares cause the real good stuff is in the bunker. I personally love this one for the peaks, the last peak I made was with the door frames and it was terrible trying to move around, this one seems real nice, I even set up some turrets as a backup incase it is a zerg instead of another duo going after us and it is working so far.

I have been running this base with up to 4 people. One major upgrade I made was to put two lots of three electric furnaces underneath the dropdown triangle of each lootchute. Obviously you will need to wire these up BEFORE you put the lootboxes in because you wont be able to access them after. If you don't have electricity up and running yet just wire them up anyway so all you gotta do is plug a power supply into the circuit once you do. 1 drop box pipes into a splitter and splits into the first 3 furnaces and then onto the next three on the otherside. Combining after the smelt into a single pipe that runs into the core. The triangle in the core where Zypic's three electric furnaces are is where I put my large battery.

I noticed this as well, I'm not on a mountain per se, but I have elevation, and if someone runs up and hugs my base, I can't see them, no matter what angle I look for. May just be worth to add a couple of turret pods to blind spots and it should be okay.

I also found that when building the ramp peaks on the peak floor. Place small boxes vertically behind the campfires, on the higher end of the ramp. Still gives great vision down to core entrance, and also gives better down peak outside of base, less head exposure! Just some stuff I figured out. Love this base friend.

We usually play 6-8 deep, but only a few of us are ever online at once. So a base with multiple beds / spawns, but a smaller loot room and upkeep would go pretty hard. call it a Casual Discord Base or something.

i built frames in the middle going up with 6 floors w/ netting and a windmill then put ladder hatches in the square frames as well as supporting frames for a shooting floor with 4 entrances from middle the upgraded next step works insanely well easy to keep progressing

Fell like you should mostly build Solo duo trio bases. If there is a larger group they are usually sweaty AF and will make their own or pay someone to make them a good base that is not on yt

you can change your client.lookatradius from default 0.2 to 0.01 to do this, hit f1 (console) and enter client.lookatradius 0.01 and don't forget to change it back to client.lookatradius 0.2

Nice build that has convenient progression steps. Liking it very much! Few things I noticed during building: peeks from bedrooms are a little awkward, but glass windows with sentry turret pods in front do wonders for defence. Added 2 levels of wallframes on the pancake layer on the roof for a windmill, then added a simple compound with 2 gatehouses (Aloneintokyo style). Very solid, affordable base!

@@u55ama_yt I buiit out 2 external TCs from the side where your front door is + mirrored on the other side, then added outside peeks that are connected with a walframe to the main TC on the remaining 2 sides + some turret pods that also connect to main TC. Kinda hard to describe.. the wall frame connections are nice since they allow you to section off the compound with chainlink gates

This is the first official base I’m building. Most of my bases have been just off the top and I can say I’ve never been raided for any reason. But I just started moving my stuff to this new base. The build seems a little backwards at times when you have the low wall with ramps to put boxes on there's no way to upgrade the ramps. Then the wood ceilings to pick out it would be much easier to leave the wood wall out until after you pick out the wood ceilings and upgrade your ramps

Having same issue. As soon as you upgrade the door frame you can't access the tc. Only thing you can do is to perm seal it if they reach your core.

@@NZSkilly Here is a tip that I use myself, I hate this method of placing it. The best way I've found is to sit the tc very close to the doorway, and slightly to the right. THen with the vending, face the back of the vending towards yourself, and slot it in as close as possible into the vending. I always can access tc

If ur on console just bare in mind the stair bunker doesn’t work, also do not make the ramp that goes up to the shooting floor a roof make it a normal jump up as it does not allow us to place the inner peak ramps if the jump up is a roof. Great base though still a great option for a console duo/trio

The metal triangle roof to get to the top floor seems to poke out slightly and could be blocking it, he uses shipping container dlc skin for it and it makes the roof smoother so it doesent peek it out

You should have explained to that a wall needs to be placed on the outside of the starter because I've build this base twice following the video and messed it up because you didn't explain that it Ned's to be a wall and you will only have 1 door to tc instead of an airlock

Hi, thanks for this tutorial! I really like this base design, I've just tried it this wipe and it looks very strong! However, I've had some trouble placing up the ramps, I'm always getting the "Line of sight blocked" error, as well as for the stone ceilings in the outer peeks of the roof bedrooms. I'm believing the building skins may play a part, are they required to build this base correctly then?
