That's a nice little pack, I need to look into that. Compass👍 not to many carry them anymore. Personal protection devices 🙂👍🇨🇱. Water key never would have thought of that. Thank you for sharing this. Have a good day.

I would add a small foldable solar panel to your kit (unless you already have one in the truck). I have made sure that all my electronic devices have rechargable batteries built into them and that they all charge via USB. I keep a decent powerbank and a foldable 40w solar panel so I can be sure that I will have lights and means of communicating for days if shit hits the fan

Not a bad idea. I have a good sized battery pack in the truck that stays on the charger when I drive and it has a panel built in that seems to do a good job charging when I’ve used it but it takes most of the day to do so. A bigger one would certainly help.

What solar panel? Not impressed with solar power, maybe I'm looking at the wrong ones.

@@Fido-vm9zi Its just a noname panel from amazon at 50w but you could very easily get away with smaller ones since they are just supposed to charge USB devices when shit hits the fan. Just as an example, a solar panel getting about 15W would charge the average phone up to 30-40% in 30 minutes and close to 80-90% in an hour. That is a pretty good safety net to have in your car IMO. powerbanks are good and all but having a powerbank in your car 24/7 will damage the cells pretty fast due to the extreme temperatures the inside of a car can reach (both warm and cold). I would not want to risk depending on a powerbank that might have swollen or flat out died when I really need it. An added benefit to some panels are the fact that they can be used as a trickle charger for your car battery as well as charge USB devices.

Thanks man. I’m glad you enjoyed it. I really like the ones by Combat Flipflops. They are more pricey but the weave is much tighter but they seem to hold up much better under rough use.
