In Germany I pay about 150€ per year insurance for a 900cc sportbike (minimum coverage, bike not financed)

My SV650 costs less than half of that. It's not as fast as a 600, but the purchase price was probably about half. Full max-out insurance is $220 per YEAR, so it's definitely cheaper to ride this bike compared to a car. It's as fast as a 600 in the city, but of course, on the interstate a 600 will be way faster.

Oh yea, naked bikes and sport bikes tend to be much cheaper than supersports, making them ideal for commuters.

Damn. I live near DC. I’m 28 and my full coverage is $120 a month and that’s the price that also includes liability only for my Fz-07. The 5 year loan I have is at 8.1% though Navy Federal

Sounds like you definitely have it a little better than we do here :D

@@MotoShortsStarkvegas maybe, but the cost of living is pretty bad around here too so they still get us lol

How much did you get the bike for out the door? I just went to the dealership today and for the blue one which is 10699 the lowest they would go was 14,400 which seemed high.

It wound up being 14,900, but that is because I owed 2000 on my trade in still. It would have been 12,900 if I didn't. With that being said, they did eliminate the sales tax and other fees to get me to buy it

You track your fuel mileage?
@MotoShortsStarkvegas Жыл бұрын
Not generally, though in the city its roughly around 20-30mpg depending on how aggressively I'm riding that day. On the highway it's generally higher and roughly 30-40 mpg

Sometimes I wonder why I do this to myself, and then I get some throttle therapy and its a no brainer as to why. Nothing like the freedom a bike gives you
