Nice review. I have the 75th Anniversary Special Edition Dremel; built like a tank. It was pricey, but basically it still runs like new; as the day I got it. I've burned out a few less expensive rotary tools, which convinced me to buy an actual quality Dremel.

I had one of these, first off there were items missing from the little tool storage box, the flex shaft didn't turn on first use (had to order a replacement) and after only a few months after purchase (with little use) the spindle lock sheared off inside the tool and wouldn't lock so I took it back to Lidl and had a refund. To their credit there was no problem and I had a full refund of the purchase price. I don't know if I bought a dodgy one, but I couldn't honestly recommend this Parkside rotary tool. I will be replacing it with a Dremel 3000.

Not a bad budget setup however...I own three Dremel tools (since new), two variable speed handheld and the big boy hanging unit. All are 25~30+yrs old with the the oldest being from the late 70s and with normal care they perform and almost look like day one. Catch me up in 30yrs on the Parkside.

Modern day Dremels aren't of the same quality as your 25-30 year old ones. They don't build 'em like that any more.

I will never buy dremel ever, bad quality , burned out 3. Very unhappy. I will buy anything else. Dremel has a nice woody smell when its burning out. Nice video , I think I will get one. Thank you

@@markroman3111 where do you get one for the price mentioned in the video of $24.99? If i could find one for that or a comparable one from eBay/Amazon, I'd certainly buy one myself.

Very good presentation. I bought the same tool. The very first day I used it, in order to sharpen some kitchen knifes it died. Usually othe Parkside tools I have bought from LIDL were of acceptable quality for the price tag they had. But this particular one is far from the acceptable quality of Parkside products. Design-wise, it is very nice looking. Problems start when trying to use it for it`s intended purpose. The on/off switch is not as convenient to use; Dremel has a more straightforward on/off switch. The electric motor it uses is of very poor quality. While using it, it vibrates a lot, which makes this rotary tool useless for the scope it was originally designed to. Now, I don`t know if yours is still ok as of today, but it has some serious thermal protection flaws/issues. I even bought the nice portable set that has around 270 accessories for this tool. You have a video on it also. What I found out was that it is a no no, for small precission jobs, since they are misaligned. And combining the not-so-small vibrations of this rotary tool + the misaligned accessories it comes with, I would say, find a better tool for your purpose. Do not even consider bying this if precission is your first priority. No jokes about that. However I do want to say that LIDL are OK when it comes to faulty devices, will not cause you any troubles with that. Unless this also changes, they enjoy this + side of reputation. Provided, of course, you kept your receipt safe.

I bought this recently and am really disappointed. After a couple of months light use the button you press to tighten and loosen the collet nut stopped working. To change the tool I now have have to use a screwdriver to push the button in while I unscrew the nut. It seems to be a common problem with this model. I don’t have the receipt so no hope of a refund. 🙁 The flex shaft is also unusable because of the vibration. I’ll save up and get something better!

Build quality is poor. Sure it's cheap but the main bearing doesn't tolerate larger cutting discs without vibrating. Plus the flexi shaft handle end became loose and I couldn't do precision work. Excellent starter device but you'll want to upgrade if you use it at all seriously.

I'm guessing the point of the telescopic hanger is to have the tool hanging there when using the extension, otherwise it would probably just lie on the table.

Correct...and the tool performs much better when the flex shaft isn't curled up.

I'm thinking for the price it can't be all that great. Like buying a harbor freight tool. You get what you pay for. I hope im proven wrong though because Dremel is way overpriced and I'm not too impressed with the newer models. My dad's old 380 from the 70s runs smoother and quieter than the new ones.

These parkside grinders are terrible !! I owned 2... Terrible bearing housings and bearings.. Both fell apart after a months use.. Once you go past about speed setting 3.. Then the problems start appearing.. Case and bearings not able to handle high rpms, Also the chuck lock mechanism is a complete joke.. This is not near the level of a decent Dremel..
