Were mosquitos or bugs an issue? I’m not sure if I should wear long pants to be on the safe side. Also is this hike manageable without a guide?

Hi! Thanks for watching the video. Mosquitos and bugs in general can be a problem all over Colombia because it's a tropical country but just take some bug spray and you'll be fine 😀 It is really important that you go with a guide as this hike can be potentially dangerous... you could easily get lost, and in some areas you have to climb up and down rocks and small cliff faces using ropes... it's very risky. In the video description, I added a link to a tour company that can take you. You could use other guides if you prefer, but just make sure they have experience on this particular hike. Honestly, it was one of the most fun treks I've done in ages, even though it was very strenuous at times! But I loved it. Hope you enjoy it!

Hi 👋 No, there are no tour guides there, you’ll have to book one before you go. I put some information in the description box below the video about your guides as it’s not recommended to go by yourself, it’s quite dangerous. Perhaps you could join a group. It’s really fun though, hope you have a great time! 😀
