And she has no trouble hitting and healing from mages.He need to use ihutel who has shield,has ranged attack and ports a lot(imho best tanking summon for casters). It seems like they made the mages really strong and beginner friendly. You two shot most early mobs. But it also seems like the trade off with pure mages is it can be challenging to play when you can't summon against a melee happy boss, unmounted fight, or just a really aggressive boss in general. That being said when you play a duel wield dexxer you have to be just as patient sometimes. No blocking or parrying, also noticed when fighting shielded bosses I roll to their unshielded side the whole fight you get way more openings.

For those who get stuck on her, I just beat her again on NG+. In the second phase, I would keep my distance and use bleed bolt with the 3 shot cbow WHEN SAFE. She will spam the dive bomb flower thing more often. It’s easy to dodge and just spam your range abilities. Tbh, the first phase gave me most problems. I just dial katana with mimic.

First boss in a fromsoft game I had to cheese to win. I used the Black Knife weapon art spam for phase 1 (and some strong attacks if I had a clear opportunity), for phase 2, dodge the first attack, summon mimic, spam weapon art again. If she does the tornado attack and if you are far away like me, run away until she does the last spin, dodge into her and then backwards. For phase 2 if she does the clone attack, idk become dodge god or get lucky. The reason I don't summon mimic for phase 1 is that she pretty much outheals the damage by hitting the mimic, but it doesn't happen that often in phase 2.

Doing this fight with dual halberds was rough, but big weapons with a mimic you just stagger and swap agro around. Twas a pain trying to get a good rotation where the mimic has enough hp to make it decently far into stage 2 to allow atleast one of us to keep chipping past any healing. Cool boss, but the healing really made sure you had to play well and not rely on a summon.

I think this might be the worst fight for sorcs. Because if you have any weapon that will break poise she just gets stun locked. I didn’t even know she had health siphon on her attacks until one of my friends brought it up

For fighting her as a mage, the trick is spamming the bloodhound ash of war + star of ruins, and spirit summon use Tich or Dung Eater. You are welcome :)

Look for hoarfrost stomp (it’s an ash of war). It’s so broken and you can spam it and stagger most things. Also causes frostbite and I think you do more damage to things with frostbite on them

Man I’m glad you finally won but a little help/recommendation for if/when you do NG+… mimic was considered to be the go to as it’s so strong right, but what you actually want is a high-dodge summon for that second phase, so like tiche or lhutel where they aren’t going to be giving her so much health gain cause tiche is flying all over quick dodging and lhutel teleports every time they suspect an attack coming their way. Obviously you’re gonna want +10 on those as well. And yeah I don’t summon at all first phase and right as she’s starting to fall to her knees first phase you summon real quick before the cinematic. Otherwise you need to let her do her first bloom attack and summon whilst waiting on her pedals to fall
