Yes, we must always pray for our Church that Jesus Himself build through His Apostle Peter only, not even to His 11 Apostles, and the popes are the successors right from His Apostle Peter. ONLY JESUS CHRIST THE SON OF GOD CAN BUILD HIS CHURCH. But now there were thousand of churches build by men they were rejects and protest against HIS CHURCH. Mark 13:5-6 - Jesus Christ warned us "take heed that no one leads you astray. Many will come in My Name, saying I am he and they will leads many astray". Mark 13:13 - Jesus Christ told to His Apostles "and you will be hated by all for name's sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved". Mark 13:22-23 - Jesus Christ warned us "FALSE CHRISTS AND FALSE PROPHETS WILL ARISE AND SHOW SIGNS AND WONDERS, TO LEAD ASTRAY, IF POSSIBLE THE ELECT. Your idea of parables is false as Jesus said they were for ALL of the disciples to understand but NOT for the crowds as they were NOT to understand. And Peter is not the rock Jesus built His church as Petros is a small stone and Petra a very large rock which was Jesus and Acts18 in a meeting in Jerusalem Peter was not the leader rather the leader it was James and there is no mention that Peter was martyred nor ever went to Rome or any other place west of Jerusalem There is no truth is tradition and historical writings outside of the Bible as we are told not to add TO not take away and there is no mention Peter and Rome nor any of the western churches
