They weren’t “roving Gypsies” and they weren’t hippies. Charlie called them “slippies” because they’d slipped through the cracks of society. Charlie hated hippies because hippies wanted peace. Charlie didn’t want peace. He wanted violence

Correct. Manson hated being called a hippy, he said they were slippies.

Nothing but a bunch of losers who didn’t wanna comply with how society runs , non of them were physically handicapped, could’ve worked, but instead , chose a criminal life . Good Riddance

When I was a teenager in the 1late 970's in California, my step father belonged to a 4 wheel drive club and we went to the location of the Barker Ranch, which was in the mountain, NOT the Valley, and was NOT "deep" in Death Valley, but on the edge. The original house was still in tact with the Manson family's clothes hung out to dry and their bus parked next to the house. The old hermit Barker chased us off.

As I said on Twitter… it would be great if someone could make a film about the fascinating Paul Crockett… the wiseman of Goler Wash.

I've got the screenplay. Just need a producer brave enough to take on the material.

WWII stuff was really cheap and easy to find back then. It was only 25-30 years old. Lots of times it was free.

I wonder if Charles knew he was bullshitting them the whole time, and knew in his own head that everything was bullshit. He just wanted power and fame.

1:02 don't repeat yourself when you can't even pronounce the word 'stolen'. It's redundant and too precious. What kind of an expert 'historian' calls it 'stoleden'?

It is possible that the historian has a speech impediment. He knows his stuff, but has a speech issue. Don't be so quick to judge something you know nothing about.
