The True Story of the TAMA Cat that Made Japan Cry

Tama a calico cat was born in Kinokawa; on April 29, 1999, and grew up with a group of stray cats who lived near Kishi Station. They were regularly fed by passengers and by Toshiko Koyama. the informal manager of the station at the time.
Tama rose to fame as a station master and operations officer at Kishi Station, on the Kishigawa Line in Kinokawa in Japan. she died on 22 June 2015.

It's a beautiful thing, where there's a moment to appreciate more of the happy and unusual things that surround us, life is hard, it keeps us at a stern pace where we forget to look around us and appreciate the little wonderous moments we encounter. But this cat, with its simple nature, brought a whole station to love it, bringing everyone together, then mourning Tama's loss, along many around the world. RIP sweet Tama 💓

My wife and I were lucky enough to visit Tama in 2013 and took some pictures of her. We were shocked to hear the announcement that she passed away in 2015. People around the world travelled there literally just to see her. I wish I have that kind of charisma.

I LOVE JAPAN. I visited Japan in 1986.I was 14 years old, spent 3 weeks travelling everywhere , in Japan. The Japanese people are very honorable and made my visit one I shall never forget. When I boarded my plane to return home , to the United States, I cried so much. The Japanese are so friendly and everybody should visit Japan. I love this story about Tama. Many deer all around, at Nara. Sadly, I actually met, saw a victim of Hiroshima, on the Bullet Train.. the man's face was badly melted , from Hiroshima.. he just smiled at me... Japan, in April( that is when I went.)is very pretty.. all the Cherry Blossoms on the trees.. bursting with pink colors.. Japan is very clean.. no litter anywhere..

I'd be crying a lot if I were there, especially I'm more of a cat person than a dog lover. I sad to see this but I'm also happy that they held a funeral for the cat. I think they should build a shrine for them as well so they are remembered over the years
