Best season so far for me. Just beautiful. Mature, layered emotional storytelling. And Colin's last speech about loving and supporting her is one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. Makes me cry every time.

same, Colin's final love declaration at the end gets me every time. It is so beautiful; the vulnerability and accountability shared by him and how he took his envy for her and turned it into love and admiration for Pen. I love the call back too to season 2 with him looking for a purpose now his purpose is to love her and how fulfilled that make him. Ughh so beautiful that is why Colin is my favorite Bridgerton Man and season 3 is my favorite.

Lot of people are shocked that she came out to the ton instead of just the queen. The queen can stop Cressida for now, but what's to stop someone else from blackmailing Penelope or the Bridgertons another time. By coming out the way she did it allowed the Queen to win by revealing her, thus giving permission to continue, and prevent anyone else from blackmailing them, thereby protecting the Bridgertons and the Featheringtons. Loved your appreciation of this season.

I know. I bawled. MY heart ached. Head hurt from crying. It was worth it. Idc if anyone says it felt fast, which it did. But I'm focused on Colin and Penelope. Their love. AT LEAST we got a proper wedding scene where they both look happy (Duke and Daphne) or actually see it through without anyone running from the alter (s2 Edwina and Anthony)!!!! At least we got that wedding!!! Girl at least the wedding we get. I CALL THAT A WIN!!!

I love your reaction to the babies at the end. Her sisters got pregnant in episode 2 and Penelope got pregnant in episode 5, that's why the babies look so close in age. Pen spent all of part 2 pregnant. I imagine that also contributed to the stress she was in throughout this season. I'm so glad Pen and Colin recognized that their love mattered more than any conflict that arose and was able to finally work together, she by facing the queen and the ton and revealing herself and he by standing back and allowing her to fight her own battles and owning up to her mistakes, giving her encouragement when she needed it, and both confessing their love. I love that she told him that she didn't need him to save her, all she needs from him is love. All of Pen's life she had to save herself so she is strong enough to take care of herself. What she was missing and what she craved most was someone to love her. That's why she was so attached to the Bridgertons. She always received love from them when she couldn't get it at home. Now for Penelope home is with Colin and the Bridgertons. She was also able to mend the Featherington family relationship. I love this season more than all of the previous ones, even more than Queen Charlotte, although Queen Charlotte is my second favorite.

i think colin was just jealous of her success and didnt know how to deal with it and he must of always felt something because there no way you keep every letter your friend has ever sent you you only do that with someone you love and her speech at he end ive watched part 2 /4 times and every time has me in tears

Hey, don't worry, I also cried at the end it was a beautiful episode....one of the best episodes this season...with the most awesomest couple of all! Polin is my favorite couple from this whole series I don't even care about the other couples, in fact when I watched this season I only watched the Polin scenes I mean of course I did watch a few scenes that had Colin with other people and Penelope with other people but besides that I skipped to just the scenes that had Polin because I couldn't sit and watch every single couple and every single character because to me they are all freaking boring except for Polin! Polin is Everything that matters the most!

I'm loving your reactions to this season! But I do have to push back on one thing... Penelope did not "have every right" to write what she did about Colin in the first episode. People like to defend her by saying it was the truth. But so was what Colin said at the end of season 2, about not courting her and having no plans to. Does the fact that it was true therefore mean that she had no right to be upset about it? Of course not. And in the same way, he has every right to be upset about this. The point isn't what she said, or even why (though we should remember that the "why" was her being angry and embarrassed about what happened at the Danbury ball, which wasn't even his fault... it just brought her to the boiling point). The point is that, rather than going to her friend directly and privately, which is what she would have done if she were really motivated by concern over the changes in him, she chose to call him out and lay all his insecurities bare in front of the entire ton as Whistledown. It was absolutely uncalled for and a truly crappy thing to do to a friend, no matter whether we agree with what she said or not. If the situation were reversed and Colin exposed Penelope's personal issues in Whistledown, people would crucify him for it. She realized how bad it was herself the next day, but it was too late to take it back. Because Penelope is our viewpoint character, we can have a very skewed view of both her and Colin. She essentially did what Colin did last season, only nuclear (his was in a private conversation, while hers was as public as it is possible to be; the harm his caused was unintentional, while she was intentionally lashing out in anger). But people hate him for it, and defend her. And people wanted him to have to grovel and suffer to get back in her good graces afterwards, but are mad at him for daring to be upset at all. Colin has a LOT to process when it comes to the Whistledown reveal: 1) reconciling the fact that the woman he loves most and the woman he hated most are in fact the same person, 2) questioning how well he actually knows her, since he was unaware of such a huge part of her life, 3) the woman he loves/trusts most in the world is the same one who called him out in front of the entire ton, which would be hurtful in any relationship, whether romantic or not, 4) traumatic flashbacks to his situation with Marina, which, though it was different, had a few striking parallels- mainly his fiance keeping a huge secret from him and making him feel like a fool being taken advantage of again, 5) Penelope, who he already thought was out of his league, is now not only the amazing, clever, beautiful woman he knew, but also a renowned writer with her own personal fortune. What could he possibly do to deserve her now? 6) embarrassment at having gone on about his writing, only to now feel like a joke, and that she must have just been humoring him, 7) fear over what might happen to her if she's caught, which is becoming more and more likely as the queen is on the hunt, especially after she shows up at the wedding, and 8) feeling absolutely powerless in the face of all this. Penelope gave him the cold shoulder for a year over his one comment (basically just finding out that he didn't feel the same way as she did), and everyone fully supports her in that. But he takes all of a week or two to work through all the baggage that comes with her being Lady Whistledown, and people call him "a little boy" for not just getting over it quicker. All I'm saying is, my man Colin gets a raw deal. He is not a perfect man by any means, but he is a good one. And he handled all the drama this season very well, all things considered.
