Yep, this is why if I buy the knockoffs, they are going to be types that do not use a screw attachment to the head as the only or main attachment point. I use/will use a knock off of the Three blade Allen 100 grain that looks like a classic Muzzy design.

I am actually waiting for a set of the black 150 grain heads to arrive and am happy to have came across this video. I figured for the price it was worth a try simply because it looks like a knockoff of the old razor heads from bear. Thanks for taking the time to do this test.

Tied on winner is a nock-off Ensis Duo (left one) and 3rd is a nock-off Zwickey Eskimo. No wonder they did good. I use both and the don't seem any better than the nock-offs. Maybe I should buy them on Amazon in the future. Woodie Eskimos especially have some quality control issues. Up to 10 grains in difference.

The "leaf" style are great for turkey. Carbon Express sold a variety of them that were nicer than those with more blade above the ferule. I took a turkey with one that was a hit on the neck and another turkey that was a heart shot and the heart shot penetrated just fine and nicked the heart but the width of the broadhead basically kept it in the turkey for quite a bit and it took a few steps and the arrow basically got caught on the ground and sliced a big rip in the turkey. I cant find them anywhere now though. Similar to the Massai type broadhead.

Group 4 might be considered Barbed by your state's rules, look up the rules on broadheads for hunting in your state. They are close enough to the edge of a rule in South Dakota where I live that I am not buying them. Also Rules at one point changed to having to use in South Dakota a double bevel, to prevent some types of Native stone mainly being used or some of the pre industrial age heads. Then in spring Turky they used to have a rule about using 3 blade minimum not sure if it is in the rules or not still but until recently the rules for fall Deer/Turkey and other large game were changed to a minimum of two blades with each one at 2/3 inch minim for the 2 main blades as defined being split by the ferule. Problem was before one could use a single blade edge provided it was not a barb as in the rules of a single blade, they had old rules calling a single blade as a one piece constructed broadhead a single blade when it has two edges on either side. South Dakota fixed this rule because a brand made a non mechanical one blade called the Dakota with Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse as cheesy drawings on the package. I use the 100 Grain Identical knockoff (from EQI) to the Allen silver 100 Grain model 3 blade in a Muzzy style 3 pack with the semi gloss black ferule with a 12 pack EQI in a metallic/semi mirror green as the spares for blades. It is almost as if the Chinese sell the other models in colors to differentiate from the bare metal model Allen has made for them though a few Chinese sellers of the OEM have started to sell the bare metal/a mirror silver spray model as well but most only sell the semi gloss black, the sparkle metallic red ferule and a blue ferule, and the sparkle metallic/semi mirror green ferule and a gold ferule as the main types due to Allen asking for the bare metal ferule version. I figure if the Chinese model 100 grain is an exact copy of the Allen model and is sold as 6 or 12 pack with 6 being not worth it or the 12 pack around $0--$7 more then the Allen 3 pack with only 3 heads, the brand is worth it even if they are a tad less in quality control. Also, as a mistake when handling I know the blades are rather sharp on the green and black models. I have 100 grain small heads for small game that are a non removable blade model that are also just over the 2/3 inch rule at about 3/4 an inch maybe a bit less so if I did use them for smaller big game, I would not feel bad.

Yeah, season before last I hunted with vented version of that one broadhead. The feral was green and weight of 100 grains. I killed 4 deer with them out of a 50 pound Turkish bow at 26" draw. I got total pass throughs on 3. 1 was a quartering shot entered about the last rib and poked out the off side shoulder. Super light carbon arrow but that little tiny bow is smoking fast.

Yep the black 150s are awesome. Killed 2 with the same head and still shootable. Very little blood tho so shoot low

I am testing the Ozcut and G3? Chinese knock offs. They are monolithic stainless steel. They are actually quite tough. Stainless steel harder to sharpen than carbon, but I cheat and sharpen the Ozcut on a grinder (grind very lightly). I have shot Ozcut out of crossbow and Super Kodiak. Fly great with proper spine arrow. I shot at a ground hog with G3 and ricocheted off a rock. Dulled one edge and bent the crossbow arrow, but blade did not bend. I shot the Ozcut into a car tire tread. It penetrated one side of the tire. Plan to use them for small and medium size game where broadheads tend to get destroyed in the ground on pass thrus still having a lot of momentum. I sure they will work on deer size game too. May try that as well during doe meat harvest.

I bought some of the single bevels. They shot quite well, but if you look at them from the profile, the head didn't appear to be mounted straight up and down. They looked to be a but off to one side or the other. However it didn't seem to effect their flight.

I have experimented with those cheap shots before. I really love them for small game, but I wouldn't use them on big game. If one edge contacts a rock in mid flight it just immediately shaves the serrations right off, however even with the serrations shaved off they are still deadly to rabbits and such

For target or long distance yes good arrow is great . But since I hunt in heavy brush and wet area once an arrow is fired at a deer it’s gone often forever. So a $6 per shot is expectable lose. But some arrows and broadhead applications can literally cost $40 or up per shot. There are literally $65 per broadhead models that just crazy.
