I did see through him from the get-go, from as long as I have heard this scallywags name I’ve known. My mental picture of him has been of rich version of William in the “Just William” book. I know the majority of people that voted him into power are racist, ignorant & full of hate towards any human that’s not from England with a 2 brain cell mentality…… the others that put him in power were exceedingly rich, being sadly honest, out of the leaders of the other English political parties at the time…… he was the best of a REALLY bad bunch. I’m certain breaking the law is a criminal offence & for me Christmas will come early to see him jailed…….. 🤞🏻

Maybe, just maybe, a sea change will occur from all of this madness. If a coalition of Labour, Lib Dems and Greens were in power the introduction of Proportional Representation would ensure that the Tories would never hold the reins of power again. The Lords could be reformed were no party donors could be admitted there. The Queen will likely pass in the next few years which may see the Monarchy slimmed down and therefore made more relevant for today's society. I couldn't see any of the main royals objecting to that. Maybe some good things will happen after Benny Hill is removed from No.10.

It's because of the English people's penchant for unearnestness, for never taking anything seriously, for making fun of everything and everybody, especially those who have an expert knowledge of something and those who care deeply about certain issues ("bloody bores"), always joking, always "out for a laugh". Unfortunately. It's a deeply annoying national trait and one that Boris Johnson epitomizes. It has been described by social anthropologists, but I do not know where it comes from. At any rate, he is exactly what (a lot of) English people want. Edit 2 months later: Kate Fox found in her 2004 book "Watching the English" that the English are acutely sensitive to the distinctions between serious and solemn, and sincerity and earnestness. Seriousness and sincerity are allowed, solemnity and earnestness are strictly forbidden. I am not sure that this "assessment" still holds. In the past 20 years sincerity too seems to have gone out of the window - to be replaced with lies (sorry, that's too solemn and earnest: untruths) and buffoonery.

Well done Byline. Johnson is a blagger. He wings it through life and fails upwards - in such a manner that would've sunk a far more talented individual from a middle or working class background. For Johnson, the thrill of the chase is ultimately more exciting than the actual prize. And when he gains his prize, girlfriends, wives, journalistic appointments, political positions (mayor, MP, PM), he gets very easily bored and distracted, always waiting for the next, better offer to come along. And what is worse perhaps is that some people voted for Johnson and support him up to today, not DESPITE all of this, but BECAUSE of it. All because he ''makes them laugh" and is a "colourful character".

This is not about Johnson. It is about a sickness in a certain section of English society - and I really do mean English, not UK - that goes back centuries. It boils down to the fact that many English people love a rogue if he has style or can make them laugh. He can be an absolute unprincipled prick and they will still love him if they think he is eccentric enough or they admire him for getting away with things they would never dare to try themselves, or if they can instrumentalise him to their own benefit. Johnson was played and supported by people who knew how to grab the guts of the English populace.

Please refer me to the news report with Putin saying this. The trouble here is this has been going on since 2014 era. I have heard everybody CLAIM Russia is about to start war but the information provided only proves that it is being claimed by western intelligence, the same intelligence that said there were weapons of mass destruction in iraq, US torture is good torture and is different from other torture cause US tortures BAD people who are not classed under the geneva convention according to US lawmakers as they are total scum, or as they call it - enemy combatants. I'm sorry I don't trust that report completely. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying it's not true If war was to start on Russia's border in Ukraine it would be a bloodbath all should avoid at all costs. America and Russia cannot win a war with each other - we will all die! The international bodies and pro peace people should be forcing even the mere mention of it and force all parties in to talks. Instead, the western world has pi££$£ on all the international bodies and treaties and the threat of ww3 - the most urgent threat here - is just a big game of brinkmanship - and those international bodies neither have the respect or power that they were built for. All I can say is lets hope the rumours about how bad Putin are are really just rumours, with such vociferous attacks, threats of sanctions and terminating all international relations it is going to take a very very patient Russia to form an agreement under these terms that have now been created.
