You’re really not taking into account that Leonidas unyielding soul signature ability will activates many more times than Richard’s giving you more damage output. Also Richard’s commander skill relies on those stacks in order to do 1,000 damage. Leonidas as commander with Richard second and Boudica third does much more damage. Leonidas will activate his commander skill tasters along with his signature skill activating more times than Richard’s signature.

Phew. I've taken her to 4*. Figured she was good, just from skimming the information, but glad to see the maths backs that up. Unfortunately still running Leo as commander (5*) as Richard is only 4*. Pvp event tomorrow, looking forward to testing the difference. Pikes absolutely dominated even with Freddy (though granted, 120k march size with T7's helped), so higher DPS in exchange for tankiness will be fascinating. Thanks for the video!

I gotta admit, it's a hard one. Longer vids means more detail and proofs, but they get boring and stuffy (I barely even touched upon the charts...). But too short and you risk losing the critical bits of explanation. I haven't figured out the best length and depth yet (but I ALWAYS accidentally go loooong! XD )

Hey, professor. A concept not presented in the video, but it's important to analyze when you talked about commander skills is the total damage per rage. In this case this will not change the information you gave because Richard at max does so much more damage but factoring this in Leonidas before Richard gets 5* is much stronger as a commander because de has 50 less rage. So always calculate total damage per rage

In many of the other ones (where this matters), you are right and I absolutely do a comparison - like I did with the Signature and Customizable Skills. Those I broke down to an even "Damage Per Cycle" (3s), so you can get an even comparison. For the Pikemen Commander Skills it didn't matter as much, so I didn't focus on that piece. Leonidas DOES go faster, and that's actually really important, but the damage diff is... large. :/ That just overshines it (in this case).

Still worth it to get Boudica if we primarily use them in the tank position? I get that they will have higher DPS with Boudica, but what if you just want them to survive longer and keep the attention of opponents in Apex Arena, while the other troops deal massive amounts of damage?

I am not sure who said it but once it was said that Darius The Great was better option than Joan of Arc in pikemen lineup due to armor piercing effect? If so, then Boudica would replace Barbarossa anyway (Richard, Darius, Boudica?)?

can you talk about cav march, Hannibal + Clyde + Cleopatra, in my opinion, is better than Hannibal + Justinian + cleopatra. since justinian is only adding pure tankness to the march and does not even deal 1 dps. while clyde is not only deal damage but also easy to max, star and skill wise. until ofc we get a better legendary strategy cav commander.

Mulan 100%. The only 2 times Bellevue should serve as Commander is in a f2p army (no Mulan, so Bellevue is best) or in the off-Meta Normal Attack build - but even then only in Rallies. (The Normal Attack build is a weird one...)
