It's kind of in the name, there is some history to it though Guns used to cost ether to fire without bullets (super buggy) Even if you ran out of ether you could still fire, and bullets didn't actually stop it from costing nor did they have any effect. To counteract that there was a pre requisite talent to true ether bullets, aka ether bullets (exactly why the other has true in it's name) which reduced the ether costs of bullets, practically from around 8 or so to 4 ether Anyway, later on bullets actually had a use so at that time you either used ether bullets or physical bullets, physical bullets got buffed again and hit the meta like- I am advised to not finish that sentence Anyway point is you can't use true ether bullets with physical bullets because they aren't made of your ether

you forgot to mention that bullets also bug m1 talent procs, preventing talents from proccing on the blasts. meaning you'll either be picking between proccing m1 talents on blasts or the bullet effect (whens the last time you've procced true ether bullets?)

this was intentional. back in verse 1 ether bullets were an actual thing because shooting guns without bullets cost ether but TEB procs your attunement every hit. So you get to pick to either use bullets to negate the ether cost used and get to shoot a projectile or you can choose lava serpent dual guns (only real ones would remember).

@@aughed3684 I used to also play dual guns back in verse 1, you must not remember correctly because having ether bullets (which lowered the ether cost, also gave you projectiles on m1s) so at the time having bullets in your inventory was useless since the only downside was a slight negligible ether cost that was beaten by your ether regen. Also it's really cool that you remember this, but teb was also nerfed during verse 1 to how the talent works right now (only proccing every 3rd gunshot)

Still honestly miffed with so many of the gun changes. Mad people just suck hella donkey meat at fighting people who zone. Call me insane, but unless I was playing heavy, there's never been a point in time where guns were ever absolutely overpowered; evident by there never really being a time where they were meta. Nerf after nerf after nerf and what we're left with is arguably the most unviable weapon type in the game and bugs galore.

stock bullets give you +10% pen for literally no downside while umbral messes with the opponent's parry timing a bit but you also have the downside of firing slower so that's up to you
