She was honest and her answers are very valued, Chocolat disbanded a while back and I'm sure for those of you who were fans miss them very much, but please respect the girls wishes to go separate ways. Wow, Melanie looks almost irrecognizable compared to how she used to look like during her time with the group. This is how you see that they forced her and Tia and Juliane to look more korean than anything... Melanie looks gorgeous here! I always knew she was the one who least fit the korean beauty standard, so I wonder how hard it must have been for her being styled and told to look a certain way. It pains me to say they (Chocolat) paved the way for mixed idols today because they received the biggest amount of backlash, they were treated differently during shows/performances, they handled it all so Korea would slowly start accepting half koreans as idols. And not only korean people, western kpop fans also joined the sh*tshow stating they were forcing cuteness, they weren't fully korean so why trying to be something you're not... little did they know (I believe we all) that their every move was curated and planned by the company to cause a certain reaction. And it did. I hope Melanie is doing very well today, neither she nor the other girls deserved to go through all of this and then get nothing out of it... they were used to fulfill that stupid Paramount CEO fantasy of a birracial group.

There must be something wrong with your vision. If that girl above really is Melanie, then they did not "force" her to look more, but on the contrary LESS Korean. During the active time Melanie looked like a WHITE girl with brown eyes.

Man, I loved these girls so much and thought they had so much potential with all those good singles. Juliane was my bias but I liked Melanie too. I was so sad when I learned about their disbandment and how they were treated via Melanie's interview. Glad to see her again somehow. Hoping the best for her and the rest of the girls.

The fact that they're company didn't Bank on the fact they... *all mixed. *spoke english and Korean. *all army brats and knew eachother. You had the perfect group to bridge the gap between US and Korea and they failed, keep the en glish speakers and not have any Koreans Focus on the international draw and have English songs!
