I bought the Creme of Nature plex defense system. After using the system, it felt like a protein treatment. My hair felt stronger and a bit dry as I had done a protein treatment about 2 weeks earlier. I made a mental note to treat it as a protein treatment going forward. I am on the hunt for a Olaplex or k18 dupe. Thanks for your review.

Next time follow up with a moisturizing conditioner. It works great I can't trust this information. I've been using the prepoo only for years.

Hair damage results from trauma from both mechanical and chemical sources, like bleaching and heat damage, which alters the structural component of hair and affects the disulfide bonds (healthy hair has a high concentration of these bonds). "Wheat proteins have a high amount of these disulfide bonds, and using wheat protein can help to connect the broken bonds on the hair surface, leading to strengthened hair," Lindsey Zubritsky a board-certified dermatologist at Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery reveals. In fact, a 2018 study showed that shampoo containing wheat protein had excellent properties in recovering damaged hair due to these disulfide bonds.

Nexxus Amino Bond is the truth🥰, it actually contains Cysteine (found in disulfide bonds) , Shea Moisture bond repair has a lot of amino acids but not that one 🥴

What are thoughts on when to use protein treatments bc bonding treatments? I wear my hair stretched a lot, i use heat to style my hair every wash (rollerset, straightening tools, blow drier, all of the above). I use a strong protein treatment like 3-4 times a year…i think i want to switch to the CER 100 Products and use it every two to four weeks) and skip the heavier (aphogee) protein treatment completely, i deep condition EVERY wash. When does the bonding treatment get incorporated? I kinda feel like maybe when i don’t use the CER100 and i straighten my hair, but i wanted ur thoughts. I haven’t used one yet… Actually update, i just watched another of ur videos. When i wear mini twists i wet my hair more often, i sweat more frequently, i think i need to use the CER100 when i take out my protective styles that get wet…and ill use bond treatments when i flat iron my hair. Let me know if you agree!

@@hairscriptsbybevy I JUST WANT TO THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT YOU DO. I have learned so much from you about hair care and hair products. I usually buy what others recommend and should have been paying attention to if they were sponsored. NO ONE talks about ingredients and their effects but you. I am patiently waiting on your oil drop.
