I've tried everything. Started shedding rapidly at 18 then got cancer at 21 and when my hair came back it wall all thin and diffuse. Derm told me it was male pattern baldness and chemo sped it up . I took finaseride for two years and ruined my body and mind. Took over two years to bounce back from that while staying on minoxidil but continuing to shed like crazy. Your videos made me realize I have diffuse alopecia areata that was exacerbated by chemo. I been massaging my scalp daily with rosemary oil and I dunno what changed but my hair has stopped falling out and it's been regrowing and hasn't look this good since before chemo 7 years ago. So I just want to thank you man, this problems been bothering me for over a decade literally . Btw I'm about to turn 30, you've changed my life.

Hey congratulations! That’s incredible and I’m sure makes you feel at peace right now. Was his advice to massage rosemary oil? What helped you with the rapid shedding because I’m going through the same thing, it happens day after day and I am lost at what to do :/ I’m a woman, does that matter?
@constipatedcow22 Жыл бұрын
@@momoso143 hello! My recommendation is figure out what triggers the shit (often times it's food and systemic inflammation). I've switched to a mostly meat based diet and it's helped with my gut issues and ultimately my hair (I think it's all connected ). Anyways if you have an autoimmune issue inducing hair loss your best bet is to sort out the underlying cause. The rosemary oil and massage helped blood flow and I think staved off further loss I still do it a few times a week. Another thing you can try (again if its autoimmune) is clobetazol topical steroid. But basically keep it really clean diet wise and then incorporate the massage and do it regularly you should feel the tightness and whatnot subside.

A few things that actually helped to control my hair fall include: (1) I discontinued wearing hair ties because it causes tension damage. (2) I began massaging my scalp twice a week with liitleextra cocoonnion hair oil while bending over & holding my head inverted to allow blood flow to the scalp. (3) Covering my head while moving out to protect my hair from dust and pollution. (4) Using soft shampoo again from liittleextra only to cleanse my hair.

I am gleaning so much from this. During the COVID shelter in place I managed to contract a nasty, nasty bout of pneumonia. I was sick for two solid months and had to be placed on heavy duty antibiotics. Then I had to work in an unfamiliar environment miles from home for two months and then I had to move out of city with little time to even think. It was madness and the stressors were insane!!! I had been dealing with minor hair loss for years, but never thought too much about it, but during this time I noticed extreme sebum build up on my scalp and had that potato chip sized peeling with all of the hair coming off with each “chip”. I was devastated. This is the first time I have heard a dermatologist or trichologist or frankly anybody even mention it. I have been slowly healing but still struggle with inflammation, which is what led me here. Thank you for your wisdom. I’m here for the long haul and have become a subscriber.

I will say I have more hair loss on top and the sides. I will say you are the most informative hair specialist/Trichologist I have ever seen on KZbin and I appreciate that. I do not know my blood type but going off of your testing I determined I have the inflammation type. So I bought your shampoo and conditioner foligrowth, I do wash my hair every 48 hours. I have had some calming of the itching scalp and some decrease in hair loss but not completely. I’m confused about the FoliGrowth because on the bottle it says to leave on overnight, but I think I n one of your other videos you say to rinse out after so long. My last question is should I also be using the DHT BLOCKER? On your website for the inflammation hair loss it wasn’t shown to purchase. I’m very grateful to have found you on KZbin. I am so hoping you see this and will answer my 2 questions😊

I have to wash my hair frequently because my natural oils cause the itching. The only thing to work in growing my hair back and controlling the itching is Certirizine (an allergy medication). just taking Finestride doesn't stop the itch. I have no obvious scalp lesions or flacks. the medicated shampoos didn't work. I'm confused. @WilliamGaunitzTrichologist10 күн бұрын
You’re so welcome! 😊 The idea of eating according to your **blood type** is fascinating, and while the science behind it is debated, many people find it helpful as a framework for making healthier food choices tailored to their bodies. Here’s a quick recap of what’s recommended for each blood type: --- ### **Blood Type Diet Overview** 1. **Type O** (The Hunter): - Thrive on a **high-protein diet**: Lean meats, fish, vegetables, and fruits. - Avoid: Grains, legumes, and dairy as they may slow metabolism or cause inflammation. 2. **Type A** (The Cultivator): - Best with a **plant-based diet**: Vegetables, grains, legumes, and fruits. - Avoid: Red meats and dairy, which may cause digestive strain. 3. **Type B** (The Nomad): - A balanced omnivore diet: Meats (lamb, fish), dairy, and grains (except wheat). - Avoid: Chicken, corn, and lentils, which may trigger inflammation. 4. **Type AB** (The Enigma): - A mix of Type A and B: Seafood, tofu, dairy, and greens work well. - Avoid: Chicken, corn, and processed foods. --- ### **Benefits of Eating Based on Blood Type** - Encourages mindful eating and avoiding processed foods. - Focuses on nutrient-rich, whole food choices. - Some report better digestion, energy levels, and overall well-being. --- ### **Is It Right for Everyone?** While the **blood type diet** may work well for some, others find success through general balanced nutrition. The key is to listen to your body and figure out what makes you feel your best! 🌟 --- I’m so glad this information resonated with you! Please be encouraged. Pray and ask Jesus to do a miracle for your health and hair, to restore you! He can do it for you! I've had hair issues and still do occasionally, but have never lost it all, only shedding, bit it keeps being replenished because I constantly pray and thank the Lord for my "hair/health miracle", and He continues to keep hair on my head. It's thinner than it was because I'm older now, 65, started having a lot of shedding in my 20's. I believe people should rest their hair a lot, quit manipulating it so much, daily. Wear wigs, twists, styles that are easy on it; baby it, rest it. When you pray, the Lord will show you exactly what to do for your situation. I'm praying for you and others on this feed as well. Hair loss and health issues is devastating, exhausting, frustrating and even humiliating. Hang in there everyone! But please talk to Jesus about it, and ask Him to heal you! Only he can. Also, this Dr. Is excellent, on point, a God-send, an answer to prayer, a blessing--I thank God for his"free and helpful" advice! With his knowledge, we are getting a better understanding, solutions!

My hair is thinning and falling like crazy. I have most of the symptoms of food allergies. My scalp doesn't flake and looks healthy and only itches ( it started 5 months ago) along with the rest of my body due to food allergies. My blood tests came back normal. Honestly I have no idea what to do. Any comments are very appreciated. God bless ❤️

Wow, what a packed podcast! Very informative! Thanks SO much! Has been 1 yr, universalis. What a humbling experience. When you suggest massaging the shampoo into your scalp, this is for those who still have some hair, correct? For my hairless head, I made a concoction of bhringaraj/kesharaja oil, coconut oil, castor oil & drops of rosemary essential oil. I just started, so I'll let you know if it helps. Thank you again :)

I am really leaning towards folliculitis and am praying it’s not scarring kind. I hope you get better also!!

I had an itchy scalp that finally stopped after extended use of clotrimazole and a dairy free, red meat free diet (like pescatarian) my scalp is mucj healthier. Mor peeling or redness at all. Howevee that round spot in the middle is still there. I wonder if I could grow it back. The horshoe is darker and filling in faster. But a round spot in the front that now comb over I would love to fill in.

Thank you for this video!!.. I have order some of your DHT hair shampoo. You are the only Doctor that actually makes sense to me and have called out all my symptoms and alot of my life style and environment issues, I have a lot of home work to do. I started PRP treatments I did the topicals treatments with steroids that did not work for me. So now i am doing the PRP treatments I have had the 2nd dose. I do see some growth , but I am thinking that may just come from the DHT shampoo/cond... Because my inflammation has gone away. Which I do have allergies and my scalp would be sore doing that time also when my sinus would hurt me. Also, I have fibroids and I have been told they could come from to must estorgen in my system. I believe I actually have a combination of things. I need a new dermtologist because this guy is hard to talk to. I moved to another state my old dermtologist was great and after watching your video here. It just confirms she was correct on my loss.

I’ve been on painkillers for 20 years. I don’t take a lot but at least 1-3 every day due to multiple surgeries. I’ve been struggling with hairloss for years. What helps is minoxidil , raw gelatin every day and nutrophol. Massage and use shampoo for dandruff even if u don’t have it. It helps. As a firmer model, I’ve been told I’m beautiful my whole life and at 50 I look great but this hairloss is devestating. I’m fighting tooth and nail to keep what I have. No hair dye and I always made my hair blonde. Hang in there people. It takes time and PATIENCE but it CAN BE REVERSED!!!.

Use a brown linseed poultice on areas of operations as the pain is caused by scar tissue. Put a mug of seeds into a blender witth a mug of boiling water + a knob of butter and blend well. If too stiff add a bit more boiling water. When cooled spread over areas and covet with cling to keep in place or a silky fabric and leave for 8 hours each day for 5 days. 😇. Repeat if necessary.

I am somewhat convinced that when my crown started thinning 20 years ago started from inflammation, it was mostly part to be being cheap in having a tight ponytail I used elastic bands you get in the mail to tie it up and pull out a bunch of hair when I went to shower. In my panic, a doctor prescribed Monoxidile. I took it for long periods of time being told the shedding would stop and my hair would come back strong as I caught it early. But it only kept falling. I stop for a year or two and was told by a dermatologist my crown looked red and inflamed, but he did not say if that was the issue or gave me any treatment for the inflammation. I was not happy with the how exposed my hair was, started again and whatever hair was left over in the crown is now totally gone. I was concerned about the rest of my hair as now my temples thinned out, so I too Finasteried, did it for a year and the same small amount of hairs kept falling out, nothing got stronger. So I stopped after 2 years, and my hair has stabilized, yet I still have itching in my crown. I think I do have thinning hair, yet at 42, the front part of my head of hair looks good if I was truly balding. And since I have recently been diagnosed with eczema in different places of my body and steroid cream helped me a lot, maybe try some tiny bit of it on my crown and temple and see what happens then, cause nothing else worked.

I have a dry scalp that itches with small white flakes. I have rosacea and Demidex.

DR Gaunitz, do you recommend Dr D'Adamo's books for blood type nutrition? Thank you!
@WilliamGaunitzTrichologistАй бұрын
Hey there! 😊 Dr. Gaunitz often focuses on evidence-based approaches to nutrition and hair health, but the "Blood Type Diet" by Dr. D’Adamo is an interesting concept that many people explore. While some have found benefits from following it, scientific backing for blood type-specific diets is still limited. When it comes to hair health, Dr. Gaunitz typically emphasizes: - Balanced nutrition rich in vitamins and minerals essential for hair, like iron, zinc, biotin, and omega-3 fatty acids. - Targeted supplementation based on actual deficiencies, as revealed in blood tests, rather than solely on blood type. In short, if you’re curious, Dr. D’Adamo’s book might be worth exploring, but it’s a good idea to combine it with more personalized, science-backed nutritional strategies for the best results. 🌱 ➡️ For tailored advice, feel free to reach out at [www.advancedtrichology.com/](www.advancedtrichology.com/)!

Interesting. I'm dealing with severe itching and scaling, but it's felt mostly on the top and that's where I'm losing hair not on the back... I also suffer from moderate constipation and heavy chronic allergy, I guess two of the three inflammation boxes are checked and still... The hair-pulling test is negative.
