Brandon Jones with a pick and a fumble recovered, backed up with some yardage with each of these turnovers, pressure up front and Surtains’ receivers kept down to pedestrian numbers so far. You saw it three weeks ago, nice work here.

justin strnad (num.40) is my cousin!! he’s cooking currently but he’s finally getting his shot. justin is getting better by the minute, maybe pay attention during the sunday game and see if u can see him!

Actually they've been playing alotta match coverage, drop zone is almost useless in modern NFL (with the exception of red zone defense) ... Actually i find it more encouraging, that these young dbs are learning and playing match affectively through the preseason... P.s. i have seen the team rotate between man blitz, cover 1 man/ robber/hole, cover 3 match/seam and, cover 4 match/palms... Match is complicated, teaching dbs to start playing man coverage (kinda match is often man in lemains terms, just with rules) with >reads< is difficult bc its more complicated than man coverage or zone drops and everyone has to do their job correctly. When done right the defense, often forces the offense to adjust, in an overwhelming feeling of discomfort(especially cover 3 match, as this concept can allow for match coverage vs 2 by 2 wr sets, and unpredictable blitz simultaneously

The starting defense might be better, but depth could be an issue because we have lots of youngsters there. We don't know anything about how good Riley Moss is. He was not overly impressive in camp, & at one point some people in the media were calling him a bust. At best, he's entirely untested. That will change the moment he steps on the field opposite PSII, who nobody will likely bother throwing at. Safety is probably better than people think in spite of the loss of Simmons, but we are pretty thin at ILB, where there is no depth beyond Singleton & Barton. Barton is also something of an unknown. He piles up lots of tackles but whether he can cover is an open question. He was hated by fans in Seattle but that might not be fair since he was replacing a perennial all-pro. The Broncos would be well served to get some reps for Drew Sanders there & it looks like they have moved off the idea of putting him at OLB, which I like. I'm not sure what to make of the DL. It could be better with the addition of JFM, but he's not a pro bowler, just a pretty solid starter. This is probably the more stable side of the ball for this team.

Solid defense, young, will have to play more zone defense to cover up opposite PS...LB weak from last year but looks better! Optimistic here

Our defense was really good last year at the half mark had a great run during the five game win streak I agree evero was really good Simmons it was time to move on from him even though I love him so much
