I've lost 110 pounds since October 2022 by utilizing intermittent fasting and walking every day. I was 330 pounds when I started, so it certainly wasn't easy to walk, let alone skip meals.I have since stopped taking blood pressure medication, heartburn medicine, and stopped using my CPAP machine. Oh, and I quit smoking in the middle of the process and continued to lose weight. If you're reading this, be encouraged. If I can do it, so can you.

If you call a chiropractor a doctor. There is an abundance of evidence that fasting causes high stress with increased cortisol levels and increased anxiety. There is a reason we feel hungry when we do. It is a survival response. Sorry if you find this offensive but I personally consider chiropractic to be quackery. It is not a science based approach to health care. Just my opinion

Your body healing an open wound is also a survival response. I’m sure over weight and obese people feel “hungry” quite often. Ironically that “survival” response could also be the cause of their death. Fasting is healthy.

@mattlacasse5828 exactly right! We don't feel like we've been dieting. It's simply a change in what we eat and when. No more sugars, grains, seed oils. We've added fermented foods and vegetables to all my BBQ 😆. I realize now, what we use to eat was poisoning our bodies. Dr Berg can't say this because he'll be canceled, but I can. The FDA dietary guideline are a lie! Bought and paid for by special interests in the food and pharmaceutical industry.

I started intermittent fasting as of Jan 11, 2023. I am a dialysis patient so I have to watch everything I eat because of phosphorus., and my numbers were always high and nomatter what i did I could not lower my numbers with phosphorus or blood pressure 210/120. Well i started fasting only eating one meal per day, always protien, vegetables, fruit, and plenty of water and green teas. I also added mushroom like cordyceps, lions mane, Reshi, turmeric, and a multi vitamin, and I cut out all sugar and salt. All my numbers have improved big time! My blood presure is now at 116/67 and my phosphorus is at 3.2 which was 9.8.. and my kidney are coming back to life.I went from 360' to 200' in just a year in a half❤. Is it a miracle I dont know, but all i can say is Fasting has made me better, and improved my health in just a year in a half. This is now my life style..❤❤❤And I know if i could do it anybosy could. MY MOTIVATION IS, I CHOOSE TO LIVE❤ God bless you all.

ALL TRUE! Last year, I went on a 40-Days and 40-Nights Water Fast and lost close to 50lbs. When I decided I was going to fast this long, I did watch your videos on fasting. I typically watched your videos for keto etc. The first day was fine, the second day sucked and I wanted McDonald's but persevered. 3rd day halfway through is when my breakthrough came. It was like someone took jumper cables and attached them to a battery. I all of a sudden got all of my energy back and then some. Each day after that through the 6th day, it seemed like my energy doubled. I was drinking 2 liters of electrolytes and water (tablespoon or two or salt and no salt. Sometimes I had black coffee and zero-sugar Powerade (I know, I know). My glucose levels from day 1 went from 299 to totally stabilized at 70-80 on Day 6, and stayed there the rest of the fast. I was losing 2lbs per day for most of the fast, and 1-1/2lbs other days. Two things did intrigue me though. Two separate times, I woke up in the middle of the night with blood in my mouth that was gel-like. I found out after seeing it the second time, it looked like the blood came from a part of my muller tooth. I did have a part of that tooth break off. I was also using keto sticks for my urine, and after a week, those sticks were deep purple every day to the point that I really didn't need to measure my ketones every day. Day 31 and another day I sometimes got woozy when I got up from sitting. Make sure you have plenty of activities and hobbies and new skills to learn when fasting because you're going to learn just how much we in Western culture plan everything around eating. Too much to post in a comment, but fasting and autophagy work. I think I might still have the video short in my KZbin bio showing my transformation.

Go for it as hard as you can. Focus on carnivore diet too. And keto is good but focus on animal protein and fat. Carbs and snacking kills us. Dr berg is not promoting carnivore super much. He is more keto diet. But for healing he promotes carnivore.

It will help. Get some walking in there too. So good for anxiety and depression. Trust me, I know. Be sure to stay hydrated. And by hydrated I mean adding Himalayan or Celtic salt to your water, tea, etc. All the best on your journey. Last but not least talk to God and ask him to help you. He’s listening. Allow the fasting let you let go of your worries, let go of it all! Including your self/ego. Ask Jesus Christ to reveal Himself to you l. God bless you

I've been intermittent fasting for over 10 years now. After Michael Mosley talked about it. I've recently noticed I never feel hungry. I can't remember the last time I felt hungry. My normal feeding window is noon to 6pm, but I often stop around 4pm as I physically feel I've eaten enough that day. I skip breakfast and have a main meal to break my fast. I don't snack much during the feeding window - I just don't feel the need anymore. I'm trying to listen to what my body wants. I'm over 50, no meds. Happy fasting to all who fast! Thanks for a fabulous film.

I started keto 9 days ago, went down 4 lbs already and I haven’t even began exercising. My belly went down considerably as well as bloatness went away and I’m no longer anxiously eating where I was snacking here and there throughout the day. I’m skipping breakfast every so often and really just eating when I feel hungry. I’m not in full keto as I’m keeping my daily carbs under 50g. It’s definitely working!

Keep up the _great work!_ By the way, I get the most relief from my rosacea when I eat a higher complex, nature's carb diet than strict keto (which I was doing for 11 months with marvelous results) and other pitta-balancing foods and practices since I've recently learned rosacea is sign of pitta (fire) imbalance in the Ayurvedic tradition. @allhimwithme5115
@allhimwithme5115 4 ай бұрын
@@spirituallight6619 Part of the routine is not having a rut style routine; your body adapts and then you don't get the benefit you got at first from your routine so I shake it up. For the 5-6 months I was healing most dramatically I did about 80% OMAD (one meal a day) and 20% 2MAD (16:8). I didn't do that on purpose, per se, but I kept a diary and when I ran the numbers that's what it came out to. During that time I did probably 4 extended fasts from 3- to 5-days long (all water fasts, no dry) yet. When I was eating I ate an omnivorous, mostly organic, pastured animal and clean vegetable diet that was between 20 - 50 carbs a day. No added sugar, no alcohol, no processed food. None. I had a severe problem and I was bound and determined to fix it. I also took "Naked Glutamine" which helps with gut lining rebuild. And, your "standard" vitamins and minerals; I'm not listing the regular old stuff I take, it's not worth it. You can search Dr. Berg's channel for vitamins and minerals he recommends. I also get regular exercise, aerobic and anaerobic. I got a rebounder for lymphatic health and use that regularly. And we got a puppy after 8 months post-losing our beloved first dog. Now that I'm healed for the most part I'm learning the nuances of MY body and what I PERSONALLY need. And, for now, it's more complex carbs. I'm tending to fast "hard" the first 10 days of my cycle (either with a 3- to 5-day water fast, or a 1- to 2-day dry fast, or OMAD every day for 10 days...something like that and low carb. The rest of the month I'm doing probably 100 g of carb a day, but still clean, whole foods, no added sugar or processed junk. Hope that helps! I don't really have a regular "morning to night" routine, but I do get up at 5:30 every morning and go to bed around 9 every night.
@allhimwithme5115
@allhimwithme5115 3 ай бұрын
@@spirituallight6619 I've answered twice...did you see them before they got zapped? Anyway, I'll pare it way down. I did OMAD 80% of the time, 2MAD (16:8) 20% of the time unless I was doing a prolonged fast which I did 8 times over the course of the year; they were 3- to 5.5-day water fasts. Plus a 3-day dry fast (the latest prolonged fast I've done). As for eating, I'm super clean omnivorous with almost NO added sugar (only complex, nature's carbs). At first I did SUPER LOW CARB), but now I'm still super clean, no added "outside" sugar or processed anything, but I'm NOT "low carb." And I'm not fasting as much, but I AM extremely mindful of the MMC (migrating motor complex) - do your own research on that. I keep 4 hours between calorie consumption times ("meals"). I've kept off the 25 lbs I lost in the first 6 months. I'm muscular (thank you, HGH and stem cells), lean (thank you fasting and being mindful of insulin spiking), female, 5'2", 104 lbs. Instead of trying to find a magic bullet perfect schedule and food, etc, I urge you to get in tune with your OWN BODY and take all the advice "out there" and tailor it to what ends up working for you. It's a PROCESS. Best wishes!

I started my fasting journey 2 years ago. I also exercised (because we all should to some degree no matter what), but it helped me shed a lot of weight fairly quickly, and I omitted the refined carbs in my feeding windows. I will also say, last year, I did a 21-day clean fast, and it helped correct some of my sight in my left eye. Starting is TOUGH because we are used to expecting food, but once you get past that hump (for me, it's the first 24 hours of major struggling), it gets easier. It changes how you perceive food. Keep up on the (pink Himalayan) salt. You just feel better all around...physically and mentally. Absolutely worth it.

@Silence_between_waves Hi! The body needs all kinds of things that it isn't getting while fasting. The feeding windows replenish any missing nutrients. Himalayan pink salt has a lot more minerals, and I personally think it tastes better than regular table salt. 🙏

Beautifully presented. Everyone takes advantage of fasting, whether they know it or not especially when you get the flu or something similar and you lose your appetite. It is because your body knows the benefits of fasting. Some people get bogged down at work and realize “Oh, I haven’t eaten all day.”Not realizing the reason that they’re not hungry is because their body has tapped into their fat stores. Once you don’t consume food up to the 13 hour mark, that is the average for when your body taps into its fat store. One reason, your body uses its night of sleep as a repair phase is because it is taking advantage of the fasting state that you are in while sleeping. all the energy used for eating and digesting food is direct towards the healing of your body. so many benefits, I am 53 years of age and thriving off of this. I am 90% plant based Currently, nothing is wrong with me. Started eating healthy and fasting at the age of 39 Obesity, high blood pressure, gingivitis and joint pain is gone. No telling what else I would’ve had by now if I didn’t change my ways. Very nice video doctor.

Ramadan is coming, Just by watching your videos I fixed my many years old Gut issues, I had celiac disease and by following your instructions I got rid of it. Now my digestive system is so efficient that I just eat 2 meals a day.

I started a one meal a day diet last November 15, 2023 and I have never felt this good in my entire life! I am 33 years old, obese (108 kilograms in weight) with bloating, disturbing knee pain and plantar fasciitis and for just 2 months, I lost 13 kilos because of OMAD. I recently started to incorporate a 5km jog in my lifestyle, 3 days per week. Last February 04, 2024, I ran my first 16 kilometer fun run. Didn't felt the pain on my knees anymore, no bloating. Thank God I decided to try fasting despite the Holidays in December.

I started my 8 - 16 fasting over a year ago and I’m going to the gym regularly. I lost in the first 10 months more than 50kg/100 pounds. I went from 125kg/250 pounds with 32% bodyfat to 76kg/152 pounds with 11% bodyfat and gained a lot of muscles (my lowest weight was 72kg/144pounds). I have no desire or „temptations“ for junk food or eating a snack while reading books. I try to eat as ketogenic as possible and I don’t buy bread anymore, I’ve never been sick since then and I’m full of energy and hadn’t had any „unusual“ muscle pain at all (they’re only sore after a gym session but that’s how it should be). I learned a lot about the cleanest fasting thanks to you Dr. Berg! Thank you so much for sharing this! Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪

Congratulations on your achievement mate. I have started a similar journey on Jan 10. Gotta lose 40 kgs. 😢 I'm doing 16:8 IF. I'm eating 500-800 grams of beef, 5 eggs and rice, brocolli and brown bread. Am I overeating? I feel so

Currently on 34 fasting hours of a 21 day fast. Completed 20 water fasting days in 2023 and only reason I had to stop was because I did not have enough electrolytes. I learned that the first two days are extremely tough because your body is fighting against you but just push through and the hunger honestly goes away and you feel really good 🎉🎉🎉

I just came off a 14 day water fast. It's true the first days are the hardest. On day four I plateaued and it was clear sailing until at day 14 I suddenly felt it was time and I broke the fast with an orange, chewed to pure pulp before swallowing. The BIG mistake is to start eating too quickly. It's really VERY dangerous.
