Thank you, Lila, for inviting Dr. Carrie Gress on your show. Many male critics have made the argument that the fundamental flaw of feminism is that feminist thinkers conflated equality with sameness, in that the movement sought for women to achieve parity with men by making them like men. Of course, when male academics make this argument, it often falls on deaf ears and is automatically dismissed, out of hand, as just their chauvinism showing through. So it is nice to hear a highly credentialed woman, like Dr. Gress, make this argument and do so with a great command of the data and history to back up the claim.

How did it make women "more like men"? Why is it assumed that only men were allowed to have autonomy and cave options in life? At one time, a woman pursuing higher education was considered "unfeminine." Should women not attend college anymore lest they become more "like men"? Should women not be allowed to pursue any interests or passions in life that does not align with marriage and motherhood? What if a woman has an interest in science or business> Should she not study those subjects lest she would "become like a man"? Should women not be allowed to choose their own paths in life? If you do not think that women should have ever fought for the right to vote, then should she even be allowed to sign a contract? How about opening her own bank account? How about having a driver license? How about owning property in her name? If she is given a second class citizenship status, then who would be responsible for her before marriage? Her father? What if she is middle aged and still unmarried? What about a married woman whose husband dies? Who assumes responsibility for her then? A male relative? What if she just has a son? Does her son assume legal guardianship of his mother? There is a lot of nuance and things to consider when when half the human population has less rights than the other half.

To the feminist point at the 1:00:00 ish mark, she is talking about women never being free unless they are producing something in the market place, but i just had a thought about it. This woman believes 2 things are true: 1) she is not free. Free from what? I dont know. And 2) money is freedom. God warned us not to love money. He wants all the glory. It makes sad to realize how dark her life has to be without God’s presence. It also makes me afraid to not have His presence either because I’d get sucked into a pit of every changing ideologies that lead to all things ugly

This dive into the spiritual/occult roots was fascinating to me, I think I need to rewatch, I am considering buying the book if it can be shipped overseas📚😊 Also she put into words what I have been thinking for some time now: mainstream feminsim has associated itself with the deadliest ideology of mankind that pro choice is...this overshadows the good intentions of feminism pretty much to say the least. But then again splinter groups of feminism keep emerging anyway, so there might as well be a place for those who want to call themselves pro life feminists despite this baggage? I am not sure.

Equality or benefits for women - which one did you want? If Femunist the former will women give up their advantages in homelessness, prisons, taxation, military conscription, life span, protection from murder, protection from assault and all their advantages in so many areas? Or do femunists only want equality when it benefits women? An example - reproductive rights. Women have rights - she only becomes a parent if she consents to it. If she does not consent she has other options - adoption, safe haven, abortion, plan b etc. Does the father get to consent to parenthood? If yes, Can he change his mind? No and No- only she gets choices - the state will will persue him for decades to pay for the consequences of her choices. Is this equal?

Recognize differences of all people and how we all have complementarity to each other. In Marriage it is a particular complementarity for relationship and building of families and thus society.

Any woman who calls herself a feminist, is not a good woman. They are an emotionally charged woman who is trying to retain feminist beliefs, while pretending to be traditional. Any woman who refers to herself as a feminist is a woman not worth dating. Feminism is female supremacy, not "sameness". Women need to drop feminism, other wise the juice aint worth the squeeze.

Everyone should know that first country who legalized abortion and made as normal practice was communist USSR..and now it is a “normal” thing throughout the whole world. So it’s a very new normal, just in 1920 abortion on request was legalized..never should be, but what good you can expect from communists. Go watch Erika Bachiochi's episode for a much better, nuanced assessment of what was good and what was bad about the history of feminism

Communist aspect and the fight against it in the us always fascinated me. As a Russian, who's parents are the product of Soviet Union communist agenda, I still don't buy into how it's worse than capitalism..Women in Russia today and in Soviet Union back when my parents were young (1950+) have the same rights as men, can and do work the fields they want, but they are treated like women, not like men. Women have paid and unpaid (but keeping your job position for 3 years) maternity leave, sick days whenever your child or you are sick, daycare is what Erica Commissar would say is ideal, where the majority of kids are 3+ y.o. because the majority of women choose to stay at home with them until then and are even paid to do so from taxes (13% for everyone). It's very common to work half days or bring kids to work, if it's a possibility with what you're doing. A lot of women though take a required 3 year break and fund hobbies, enjoy motherhood or start businesses while on maternity leave. And there's not much isolation neither, because there will always be other stay at home mothers with little kids. As a teacher, I can say it's pretty common to have other teachers kids around at a workplace, they don't disturb anyone and are well behaved because they know what's expected of them and that their mom is right there. People treat kids better in general as a result. Not like annoying rats people think of them if you even think about bringing them to work. Yes, gender roles are an issue, like everywhere else men are becoming less manly, but I really don't see how it's so bad to live in such environment. Here in the US, I have a lot of girlfriends who can only dream of staying home with their little ones, they can't afford it and have to go to work full time, nobody cares about their kids being sick and nobody would ever pay for them to stay at home until the baby is at least a year old.. What am I missing or why do American women buy into this?

Yes. While it is wonderful when anyone speaks the truth, it makes it far less convincing when women take positions of power in the public sphere and speak put against feminism. I and a few others have made similar comments about the pro-life movement. Too many women get involved with lots of connections in the movement and end up unmarried and marry later and have fewer children. The most credible witnesses to life and opponents of abortion are the women who get married young and have many children.

Depends how you use your single years. Lila spent all of her twenties fighting for life. Read her book called, “Fighting for Life.”She did not deliberately delay marriage or children. She met her husband in her very late twenties and expecting child number 3 in just 5 years.

Exactly. The first choice a woman makes as a mother is who to marry and have as the father of her children. Setting a strict deadline for when you must be married encourages women to make foolish choices and settle for men who may not have the qualities to be a good husband and father. When you don’t choose a man with those qualities your future children pay the price. Better to wait until you meet the right man.

Abstract nouns can be slippery. Christianity is defined by some in curious ways that contradict Christian principles. Typically, people offering such definitions of the Christian faith seek to endow a peculiar and partisan socio-cultural view with divine authority. The same can be said of feminism. A movement that affirms the dignity and equal status of women can also be hijacked to support peculiar and partisan socio-cultural views. It is curious, however, to see proponents of "feminism" spin the dignity of women as somehow requiring the denigration of men and the abortion of babies. The degree to which our reason has been contaminated is reflected in the claim that men and women are essentially the same. They are not, and the notion of sexual equality does not require the belief that they are. But our reason has been so degraded that seemingly educated people will claim that a man can become a woman and a woman can become a man. Surgical interventions and drugs cannot make this kind of magical thinking reasonable, but such unreason is affirmed routinely by professors at noted universities. Our culture is in great jeopardy.

Anti Mary exposed is another great book by Mrs. Gress. Quick comment: Catholics are the only Christians. Protestants are not Christian. The terms are loosely used today so for the sake of truth I want to clarify. It was coined in the early Church (2nd century AD) by St Ignatius of Antioch describing the members of the Holy Catholic Church. It is now a term usurped by Protestants (I.e. signs on their Churches, etc.). Simply put, a Christian is not a subjective idea but rather an objective truth. It’s a believer that Christ is Lord and one who humbly and faithfully submits to all His teachings/laws including the establishment of His Church here on Earth. The Holy Catholic Church. If you’re not a member, you’re not a Christian. Christianity can’t be reduced to just a vague, and weird personal understanding of Christ. Satan, Muslims, Buddhists and so and so on believe in Christ but they’re not Christians. Point is the truth is always objective, otherwise it’s not the truth.
