Another question, if pattern doesnt matter, why do we have so many, and if pattern does matter, why are we told it doesnt? I fish the lower provo and pattern certainly does matter here. Grey or Tan sow bugs, red worms, and thats about it.

I've fished hundreds of different patterns on the lower provo, I've caught the most fish on Redworms, eggs (in january/feb) and sow bugs, olive buggers, and if they are rising on mini chernobles, size 16-18. I've never caught a fish on a pheasant tail, hares ear, or any of the most classic patterns in any size from 12 to 18.
