Question for a podcast episode. I find that a lot of dry flies are hard for me to see. (I don’t have the best vision). What tricks do you like to do to help see dry flies? Some can have parachutes but I am not sure if you can add a parachute to all fly types. Do you ever use indicators with dry flies?

Fly tying question, how do you know which end of the a feather to tie onto the hook? Does it matter?

Good question. Depends on the feather, but more of the time you’re going to attach the butt end of the feather and grab the tip to wrap.

@@venturesflyco Thank you for the quick response! Love your company btw! Incorporating fly fishing into my own channel, I think its intricate to survival, that is being able to catch fish with the simplest of techniques. I think fly fishing and fly tying serves that purpose, being able to create a fly from feathers you find outdoors, and catch fish with a line, and stick. Its intriguing and exciting to me =) I watch a lot of Davie Mcphail and he seems to always attach the feathers by the tip, but he also uses extremely small feathers much of the time. Thanks again.
