I used to hate my eye color when I was a kid. I wanted blue eyes like all of my friends had. I gradually came to appreciate my eye color, and now I love it. I get a lot of compliments. My eyes are mostly an olive green, but there are several shades of green mixed throughout and I have tiny little amber colored spots surrounding my pupils.

I have hazel eyes that look like a combo between green, gray, and a teensy bit of honey brown. They also change color depending on my mood. If I'm happy, they're brighter and more green grayish with gold specs, and if I'm angry they're a dark grayish brown with specs of green. Idk how that works but they happen to be pretty fun. Like certain colors make the green in my eyes pop, like purples and blues. Shit's wack but I love my eyes lol. They help me see :)

I got my dad’s green eyes, it was just us surrounded by a sea of blue, lol. I was jealous of my brother as a kid, blue eyes are pretty. But I came to love them, mine are green with an amber circle around the pupil, which means I technically have heterochromia, something I recently learned. I lost my dad not long ago, and now I love my eyes more than ever, because I can still see him whenever I look in the mirror.

I have the same combination, all green but with a very thin amber circle ⭕ somewhere around the centre. Super technically it would make them not "green" overall, but I just learnt that green color in the eyes is not an independent color, but a combination of multiple pigments? Romina, I used to be bothered by this until I noticed that the people who were most desired have brown eyes. From the Pretty Woman, Julia Roberts to the useless Kardashians (😄) that everyone wishes to emulate, and even to Johnny Depp, George Clooney and almost every swarthy Arabic or Mediterranean person, we are desired the most. It's true! There's a warmth and mystique there. I prefer the _colours_ of blues and greens, but the colour doesn't make the person. Consider blue eyed Ted Bundy or Gary Ridgeway compared to blue eyed Zac Efron or Chris Hemsworth. And let's be honest, if you could have any colour eyes that you wanted, would it be any of those known to us? I would like one pure purple and one turquoise. Beautiful eyes depend on the shape, lashes, expression, facial features and everything in between. And if that's you in your photo, you're beautiful. No colour will change nor enhance you. 🌹

Interesting- I was born with blue eyes and I remember about 3 Dad saying that my eyes were changing colour , and standing in front of the mirror trying to see them change! My shade of green is hard to pin down. In the sun they are deep jade green but they can look forest green and turquoise and also blue. Depending on what I wear. I worked with a guy who had the most gorgeous green eyes. I loved them. One day we were sitting in the break room at the same time and someone else came in and I pointed out his green eyes, saying the colour was so beautiful. The other person told me my eyes were the exact same colour as his... I was so surprised, but happy. To think I have that colour of eyes! Those are hazel eyes. Mine were hazel. Green the gold flecks. Sometimes looked blue. Looked bright green when I cried. Now they’ve lost the gold flecks and just look green. Now I’m in my sixties. Eyes start looking more washed out I guess but I am happy with my green eyes.

I think my eyes are unusual. They're a very light green... and I imagine that's the reason they change color with what I wear. It's as though colors are reflected back into my eyes 👀 they have been a bit of a topic for discussion with some people I meet, but more prevalent when I was younger. Look up heterochromia eyes and then tell me which eye color you like. Also there are a lot more versions of heterochromia than just the blue eye and brown eye combo....there is central heterochromia for example where you you have one color circle around hre pupil and another color around that circle. I have central heterochromia with a golden brown circle around my pupil and blue around the outer edge. It's one of my husbands favorite features.

I have multicolored eyes, I guess that’s called hazel. An outer ring of dark blue, an inner ring of yellow, a burst of green and a little bit of brown. Depending on the light, they shine more of one color than others. And when I cry, they turn more green. I don’t understand how they change, but it is very cool. I'm a female in and from Northern Europe and I have green eyes (depending on the lighting). Not very rare in my country, but if I'd ever go to America, Asia or Africa I will probably get the stares. Looking forward to it! I have light green eyes and northern european heritage and also have been treated for ocular melanoma. There is not evidence as you suggest that sun exposure is the cause of OM, rather it is a genetic mutation and very rare. It is also quite a deadly cancer that not many know about. I come from both Greek parents, my mom has light green eyes and my dad light brown eyes.. I ended up with hazel eyes I guess I know why haha. But it’s rare in Greece to find people with green eyes. My boyfriend who is also Greek has blue-green eyes though as well. 💁‍♀️

@ I don't know about anyone else but mine has nothing to do with vaccines. Snapped disc, spinal nerve damage and was bitten by a dirty mosquito carrying lyme disease. Pain is my middle name 😄 I also dont subscribe to the anti-vaxx movement in anyway. But each to their own. 😊

Some of the people in this video have hazel eyes. Hazel has brown and green and can be mistaken for both and green is just solid green. Also, Scarlett's eyes are not cat green. They sometimes look blue..so hers may be hazel to.

Human genetics is a fascinating thing to study. Remains of a British person were found that dates back to about 10,000-20,000 years ago show that the male had dark skin and blue eyes. Scientists were able to sequence the DNA, that’s how they were able to tell of course. Anyways i find it really sad that that phenotype got eliminated from the human population. As a black person I wish I had blue eyes :(

My eyes are considered hazel however they are olive looking, similar to my cat's eyes. I'm have Celtic origin and I possess everything described with green eyes (as I sip on Irish cream), however when my son was born he had brown eyes as was later considered to be the colour of root beer. So grey or blue eyes are not the only colours of eyes a baby can be born with, although I know it's very rare.

My siblings and I were all born with blue eyes. Me and my sister's eyes turned green, our brother's stayed blue. My sister had 3 kids. They all started with blue eyes. The girl's eyes turned green around age 5, the boy's eyes stayed blue.
