Thank you for interviewing yet another super interesting guest!

Since they have no way to contact them, 'independant think tank' should read 'independent'.

Rachel is one of my climate heros!

Guy McPherson quote I really like goes something like this: If you think ecology and economy are separate, try counting your money while not breathing.

@@TennesseeJed Yup, there you go Rachel. It's why I keep suggesting Guy for a Guest.

And while we're on it, I see you liked the analogy at 9:17, Rachel. Guy had a better one regarding these unethical, hopium peddling con-artists. It was something along the lines of, "What they're doing is like telling a stage four cancer patient whose on their death bed, that they'll live forever if they just start praying."

@@ihateexcessivelylongandpoi4490 I think Guy is done with trying to answer/reply in interviews. He has been smeared a lot and doesn't want to waste time that way.

@@TennesseeJed Yeah a former Guest of Rachel's who should know better slanders Guy. That's why she needs him on, so he can share his experience of what it's like being a truth teller.

If you haven't already, you should do a video presentation/episode on your own research and articles. You keep saying you are a climate journalist...how about tying in your writing into your interviews and suggesting the specific articles and putting links in the description? I think you're doing great work, and a little more self promotion is in order IMO.
@PlanetCritical2 жыл бұрын
I appreciate you saying so (self promo is not my strong suit!) You can find links to my most important investigations on planetcritical.com in the climate corruption section.

@@PlanetCritical I get that. I'm an artist/poet and have had to face/ struggle with the self promotion thing as well. I just think we don't have a lot of time, your information is objectively useful to humanity, and you could get your message out to more people by doing things like piquing interest and mentioning your latest article in your talks, etc. I realize it could seem like sleazy marketing, but given the need for rapid degrowth and the fact that it's a conversation with a limited audience right now on a shortening timescale, I think it's worth considering. Also, I agree with your assessment when you put your marketing hat on for a moment and questioned the marketability of the term degrowth in a few of your episodes, but I also I agree with Richard Heinberg when I believe he said.not enough people seem to care. I hope your work gets out to more of those who do. Good luck to you and all of us really.

@@StormOfferings Thanks so much for this. I really will think about it, and how to do it well.

it is really sad that this person is not able to question the IPCC diagnostic taking into account so many other scientific analysis , not distinguishing those that oppose the one provided by the political body IPCC... therefore he is not able to criticize the narrative agenda-driven with all its limits (especially the limits of the models and the variables used) of the IPCC...
