Going out to witness and trick or treating is two different things. You can witness anywhere. He's not talking about witnessing, he's talking about celebrating and indulging in idolatry. So you're saying that children will use the opportunity to witness on Halloween. Listen to what the preacher is saying.

The origin or Halloween is irrelevant to the point and how Christians can and should deal with the holiday. If we can witness anywhere, then we can also do it on Halloween.

More pseudo-Christian misinformation. Halloween has Christian roots, and the word itself derives from the Old English equivalent of All Hallow's Eve, which precludes the Feast of the Saints the day after--and just so happens to celebrate CHRISTIAN martyrs and saints.
