I know Chinese homage watches can be very controversial because let's face it, they are really mostly copies! But that's okay with me because that's exactly what I want. The Chinese make unbelievably high quality watches for incredibly low prices. There has never been a better time to be an affordable watch collector.

especially during these tough times I agree! I try to stay away from direct copies and rather look for high quality Chinese watches instead

tbh, in my country a Rolex, a Omega, fuck even Tissot and Seiko's aren't really achievable to the normal person, an entry level Tissot or Seiko are 350 usd which is more than half of the average wage (600 USD) if you have to pay for rent wich is minimum at 400/500usd, food, water, electricity, the average income barely enough to live without even thinking of clothes, having money to enjoy a good meal at a restaurant or a drink with friends at a bar. Having said that, to people like me who are really enthusiast, who understand the heritage of a watch, the craftsmanship, the design, Homages are realistic ways of enjoying watches that are only available in our dreams, and honestly, i'd rather get a pagani design than any watch that you can get for that price here, which are mostly fashion brands "watches" lol.

honestly yeah exactly, for an average person, these time pieces of heritage are very much expensive and not obtainable for the regular person. having a homage creates a realisticness to the hobby without the price tag and enjoy the watch regardless! You're getting better specs for the price in which other main brands can't compete with and yeah that's honestly why I leaned to Homages!

Good vid, all good points. Only thing with micro brands is they can get pricey. Recommend LIV (pricey but original, U.S.) and Revelot (not so pricey, but homagey, Malasia). Love both brands. Just remember, just about anything created is inspired and somewhat copied by something else that came before it. Cheers!

thank you for the comment yet again! yes I'll have to look into the microbrands, but yes totally agree nothing is ever really original, inspiration is flourishing everywhere, it's just a matter on if it was a straight copy or inspired by many different designs and then make their own designs!
