I also think you can say whatever you want about food in HK. We get a lot of welled planned foodie trips which are great, and then you post another side of ad-hoc food experiences, which is also nice to see. You're respectful enough, go ahead! Thanks again.

You have the makings of a great vlogger, pleasant personality (most important) and excellent editing skills, although you should get a microphone.

Thank you for your kind words!! The microphone situation definitely needs a level up 😅. As soon as I get a new camera, a microphone will follow. I’m filming on a Canon G7X mark ii at the moment, which doesn’t support external mics :/

@@EmadAssadi Get the DJI pocket 3, everyone loves that. It's small and light too.

I saw some people filming with it in Tokyo recently. It looks great, I might actually get one 👀. Thanks for the recommendation

@@EmadAssadi The best thing about it is that it's so light. But the quality is the very best.

The symphony of lights was accompanied by (or more accurately an accompaniment of) fireworks and the harbour back in SARS 2003, the fireworks stopped around a year or 2, but the lights continued till today probably because they're there already. Fireworks are the main attraction during the New Years, National Day and Turnover day. IMO, it's an accompaniment not the attraction. I think the weekly fireworks is returning in the coming weeks, it will be a wonderful sight albeit the questionable economic benefit it will bring.

When it comes to the performance of the symphony of lights, it is really up to one's expectation whether you will like it or not. Every time I go to HK, I go see the light show. Beyond the laser beams and the music, in my opinion, HK has one of the nicest skyline of buildings. Combining the three elements, it is a good show. It comes on approximately 10 minutes after sunset so the sky is a bit dark to highlight the laser beams and lights displayed on buildings. If you go on a rainy or foggy night...yeah, it won't look as good. Have you ever go watch a firework show in the rain or fog? When it comes to food, you went to the wrong place. There are so many vloggers highlighting the best food in HK. HK is a city with many Michelin star restaurants with very reasonably priced food. Next time, let me show you a few excellent restaurants within 10 minutes from where you were.

I was certainly in awe of the skyline and couldn’t stop looking up during my time in HK. As for the fog, it was really unfortunate. Most of my trip to Hong Kong was quite cloudy and foggy. But I did end up going back on a clearer night and it was a LOT better. :) When it comes to food, I’m actually relatively restricted in Hong Kong, as a lot of the restaurants won’t qualify as halal. As a muslim, that is one of the sacrifices I have to make when visiting non-muslim countries. But I did find a number of good halal restaurants with really good authentic food. If you have any recommendations you think might be halal, then I’m all ears :), I do plan on returning to Hong Kong.

I was born in HK but have been living in Canada in the past 54 years. I have returned to HK for business and pleasure numerous times since then. While I don't look for Halal food in particular when I am in HK, I know they are available. I will be in HK this April. If I don't find Halal food in HK on the Internet, I will find them when I am in HK and update with my findings on your channel. By the way, there are lots of Halal food available in Toronto for sure. My wife likes Halal meat too. By the way, those young men tried to sell you a "prosperity" sign. While I have them in my house as well. Banks and supermarkets often give those away for free as a good gesture to their customers wishing them prosperity. Don't get me wrong, you can buy them for a few HK dollars, but no need to buy them as aforementioned (free in a lot of places or dirt cheap). It's a scam if you have to pay more than a few dimes.

I just entered "Halal food in Hong Kong" into the Google search engine, twelve places immediately came up. So I won't repeat their names and locations here as anyone can do a search in Google.

BTW, in case anyone wonders about what those kids were talking about putting that red sign up-side-down. The word says "prosperity". If you put the sign in the correct orientation, it is just that, it means prosperity. However, if you put that sign upside down, it implies, or hope, prosperity would come from the sky (or heaven) down into your dwelling.

Thank you, I would love to know any good recommendations you find in April. I had done quite some research before I went to HK and found dozens of restaurants, so there is always some option available relatively close by. Those young men actually gifted me the prosperity sign. :) They were from Shenzhen and had to ask people questions in English for their school assignment. Once they were finished asking me questions about Chinese culture and new year, they presented me the sign as a symbol of their gratitude. A really nice gesture. You can’t really tell in the video because of my awkward reaction, but I was really moved.
