While Roland Tembo and Ajay Sidhu, were on the trail of one of the Tyrannosaurs in The Lost World, they come across the nest of the two Rexes and find their offspring
feasting upon a carcass inside. Roland takes the baby from the nest and places the animal on the ground chained to a stake in an effort to lure the male Tyrannosaur out
from its home and close to the camp where he and Ajay wait in a nearby tree. Once the animal was in the open, Roland planned on shooting the dinosaur in the brain with
his Nitro Express Double Barrell Rifle for what he perceived to be a quick kill and claim the ultimate trophy for the ultimate hunter. When Roland takes the infant
Tyrannosaur from the nest, its never explicitly shown how the baby breaks its leg. While still a young animal and no doubt much more frail than its parents, it would
still take quite a bit of force to break one of its bones and some of the public seem to believe that it was Roland himself who broke the baby's leg, to ensure it
wouldn't run away once brought back to the camp.
The famous line Mommy's Very Angry is quoted by Jeff Goldblum Jurassic Park when the Infant Tyrannosaurus is found by its parents on Jurassic Park Isla Sorna. This movie has a lot of people typing in the wrong things on KZbin like Infant Tyranosaurus and Infant Tyrannosuars but the funniest one to me is Infant Tyrannosausu like what the hell are they trying to type. I've even seen Infant Tyranosarsu and Infant Tyrannosausu but regardless the video is about Jurassic Park Site B and The Lost World Roland Tembo which for some reason people type The Lost World Roland Timbo but hey whatever. This is also about The Lost World Ludlow and contains infor on Jurassic Park Carnivores and Ian Malcolm Chaos Theory. We all know of Jurassic Park Ingen and Ingen Dinosaurs but what about Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom Nick Van Owen? Nah that'll never happen but The Lost World Dieter did happen so...yeah keywords :D

I must say, I'd always assumed it was Roland, though I had thought it was out of character. If i recall in the film you can still see a bottle of spirits next to the baby rex, which now makes sense, I'd assumed Roland used it as some sort of anesthesia on the Rex! Great vid.

I read The Lost World by Crichton and it was Dodson who accidentally stepped on the baby rex's leg. Either way, I think this injury was used to someone's advantage. I also read that Dodson and his crew had a box that emitted sound waves so powerful that the Rex's were stomping around, roaring, and urinating on themselves, briefly. I would've loved to see that in the film.

I wish they'd left this scene in too, because it not only would've cemented Ludlow as that much more of a sonofabitch, but cutting it out also makes the implication that Roland and Ajay were the ones t break the poor thing's leg, unfairly villainizing them. Afterall, we first have Roland saying "the idea is have him come where we want him" (referring the adult buck rex)" - aaaand CUT directly to a helpless crying baby t-rex (who likely would've died in the wild had it not been tended to by the protagonists).

I wish they had included the scene with Ludlow falling over drunk too... I always suspected that he was a bit crocked in that part of the movie... after Ian, Sarah and Nick are rescued there's a scene where they're all standing around talking and Ludlow has a line "Right, this is all very thrilling" when he says that you can hear a little bit of a slur in his speech... I actually wondered at times if he was meant to be drunk or did he just mess up his line accidentally... I now have confirmation on this thanks to this video lol

You'd be surprised, a lot of people (ironically or otherwise) level that accusation against the Rebels! As for why people hate Nick... I think it's largely because of two things. Firstly, because whatever his motivation was for releasing all the dinosaurs from their cages, he was responsible for the deaths of a lot of people just doing their jobs, and in taking the injured baby back one could also level responsibility for Eddie's death at him as well. Whether or not he can be excused of these is the real source of the debate. Second reason is because of admiration of Roland; if one sees him as the real hero of the story, his dislike of Nick can feed back into the viewer.

+klayton i never liked the character and its mostly because "i am the plan b bullshit" he's an environmentalist but the idea of sending one is dumb. i also did not like him being this "plan b" considering its a team of mercs and hunters armed with guns if he was a merc himself or was in some kind of special forces or so i would understand more.

@@KlaytonFioriti Personally, it’s the constant smirk on the character’s (I’m sure the actor is lovely) very punchable face that makes me hate him so much. Plus, unlike Roland, who was happy to break his own ethical code of not shooting female animals when he tried to shoot the doe to defend the camp, Nick is completely inflexible with his own ethics. Even though you would hope he would’ve had the brains to work out that when on an island full of carnivorous dinosaurs, they needed all the guns working in case they needed to defend themselves, as they did. Especially the only one capable of taking down an adult T Rex. But that’s just my take on matters. I doubt you’ll ever see this comment as this video is quite old now but I love your videos. 🙂

I still think Nick was one of the biggest jerks on that island. The guy was basically chuckling about having removed the ammo from the guns that some characters were carrying. Thank you for this. After all these years I only just now noticed the bottle and cup by the baby rex when Nick goes to free it. They really need to do a completely uncut version of all the movies, the fact LUDLOW breaks the babies leg makes much more sense. Not to mention makes more sense character wise for both of them. Ludlow getting drunk after his "win" - makes sense. Roland breaking the babies leg for bait when later on he felt regret for not killing the bull rex. Not for missing his chance, but because death would have been better than potential captivity for life.

It makes more sense for Ludlow to be the one who broke the baby Rex's leg: as the movie stands now, it looks like it was Roland who did it on purpose to lure the parents, making him more ruthless and sadistic while he's a character we have to root for. Also, with that scene restored, the whole thing would come to full circle at the end, as the Male Rex cripples Ludlow's own leg to allow the baby to kill him. That said, this movie tried very hard to make the hunters pass for the bad guys when, in all fairness, the heroes are the one who mess things up the most. Tembo and his men came to rescue Malcolm and the others and, to thank him, Nick took his damn elephant rounds so he couldn't harm the poor, poor T-Rexes that were on the hunt for human flesh. That's 90s PC at its peak. While I think "Jurassic Park" is leagues upon "Lost World", I do like the central part of the movie and I do wish they had made the whole movie about the hunters trying to escape the island. The San Diego part always felt cheesy (it's an homage to the two "Lost World" movies BTW: in the 1925 version, they carry a Brontosaurus to London, which escapes and runs amok in the city - in the 1960 version, they carry an hatchling T-Rex with them).

Perfect! I enjoyed this video, Appretiatingly the most interesting "Deleted Scene" from Jurassic Park 2: The Lost World. I'd want to see in the future! Ughh...at 0:20 It would've intensify more sense if you use the pic whereas Roland Tembo & Ajay Sidhu, sit in the nearby tree next to the camp(About1 & a half yard away where the caged tiny omnivorous Compysognathus Dinosaurs & the captured-caged Herbivores Dinosaurs were being held) with the huge net across their shoulders whilst the T Rex Dinosaur Infant was moaning on the ground & at 1:14 as the evidential photo of the actual "Deleted Scene of Roland Tembo witnessing as the new C.E.O of Ingen Intoxicated Peter Ludlow tumbles on the T Rex Infant Dinosaur" I noticed the Roland leaving his hat(which I believed he carried to the tree with him & Ajay after his acknowledging of the idea) on the tree trunk why'd he do that!? because when the T Rex Parents started looking for the missing T Rex Infant Dinosaur & nearing its location, sighting the hat could actually cause a Dangerous situation for Both Tembo, Ajay & the Ingen expedition men, Dietar Stark, Peter Ludlow who all occupied the nearby camp patiently for their Helicopters to evacuate the hell off that island xD Finally that "The Lost World: Jurassic Park" novel book at 3:24 displayed the "Peter Ludlow Breaking the infant T Rex's Leg" with dialogues from both the Expedition Leader & Ingen's new C.E.O before the tragedy occurred, we actually read the Intoxicated Peter Ludlow cursing the T Rex Infant & explaining that'd it be Trillion-Dollar Attraction at "Jurassic Park San Diego" when it becomes a fully grown adult Distracted by a strange unseen animal that ran across the ground scurried in the grasses(probably a Huge Rat) "Startled" the intoxicated Peter Ludlow tumbled on the T Rex Infant Dinosaur breaking its leg by his action. This is what I didn't get, I didn't expect Roland Tembo to shout at Peter Ludlow & shoved him away because of the Expedition Leader being a honorable & bearing a Strict Code of Honor also concerning for all the everyone's Safety! Let us all hope that didn't happen in the Actual "Deleted Peter Ludlow breaking the T Rex Infant Dinosaur's Leg". That's all, Thank You!

I vaguely remember a version of The Lost World with a run time of 2 hours and 14 minutes...unless my memory is too fuzzy (which, oftentimes is the case...don't ask) to actually recall that. It just seems like there was a 2 hour, 14 minute version of this film. The deleted scenes my fuzzy memory seems to recall are: (1) when, after Sarah is attacked by the Stegosauruses and recovers, she seems to join Ian, Nick, and Eddie and shouts, "Isn't it great?!" or something (this can be seen in the trailer for the film) (2) during the Raptor ambush in the tall grass, Ajay is shown being stalked by a few of them and screams before they pounce on him (though, it ends there to keep the PG-13 rating) And the two deleted scenes some TV networks have shown.

All true JP fans want the deleted scenes of all the 3 films restored; if not with the movie, at least as separate cut scenes in the Blu-Ray special features section. But Spielberg was so hurt by ET special edition's response from his fans that he reportedly vowed never to release alternate versions of his films again. This decision probably includes deleted scenes as well. ET's extended/altered cut didn't even make it onto Blu-ray intact. If not JP2, perhaps Johnston could at least release the deleted scenes of JP3.

I have a really vivid memory of seeing this scene in the cinema when I watched the movie (on opening night or shortly after) but have never been able to find evidence of it's existence until now. I presumed it was cut shortly into the run, how weird that it got shown in my cinema if it had been cut before opening night...

The scene did resurface in the Novelization of the Lost World Movie; the first time I read anything in-depth on the franchise. While the scene does sound like it shows the contrasts between Ludlow and Roland's characters...I still have to tilt my head at Roland's supposed "honor-code". Mainly because, his motives in the Lost World movie are to hunt the Buck T-Rex...but, the only actual tracking he does leads him to the Rex's nest. It doesn't seem like he makes an active effort to hunt the animal in the wild like you'd expect a big-game hunter for him to... If anything, his tactics seem more akin to ambushing the Rex by luring him into a trap. Doesn't seem like an honorable thing to kidnap an infant and use it as bait to attract the Father; which is ultimately why I am at least satisfied that he didn't get the chance to kill Buck in the movie. Though what I really have to question, is the fact that he and Ajay set up their blind for trapping the Buck about 20 yards from Ludlow's camp...I mean, were they expecting the Buck to come ALONE?

I think the camp may've been there for backup. In case anyone heard the Rexes approaching, they'd be close enough to act...but in the end neither Roland or Ajay knew what the hell they were getting into

I kind of wonder why they didn't bring back Dyson as one of the main villains of the film. It seems to be competing companies would be swarming the island trying to get at it's assets while Hammond and Ludlow were dealing with the courts and the media.

Yeah, that makes way more sense Roland is a morally grey character, but he is pragmatic. Taking the infant was all that was needed; injuring it, especially that severely, wouldn't have been needed, it's a rookie mistake, and considering the man knew how to approach hunting an 8-ton superpredator, it's not one he would make.

I am rewatching “The Lost World”, and I noticed that when Nick is rescuing the baby T. Rex, you can see what appears to be an alcohol bottle and a mug right next to the baby. That seems to be an indication of the deleted scene’s existence.

I always thought that the baby t-rex was injured on purposed by one of the Hunters as they knew it was cry out for its parents the moment it felt the pain of it's injury. I also thought that the baby t-rex just had a massive wound and never noticed that the bone was broken.

@@yerunti Haha seriously! I was also questioning my memory -- I rarely saw the same movie twice in theaters as a kid, but did with Lost World. Different theaters, different versions; only the first played it with the deleted scene. It wasn't until KZbin that I finally got validation -- thought I was a victim of the Nelson Mandela effect. I don't remember the boardroom or bar fight scenes from my screening. It's possible neither stood out enough to be remembered by 10 year old me, or they weren't in my first theater's version. How many variations were released??

Ludlow falling on the infant really should not have been deleted given that at the end of the film the buck 'rex attacks his leg in return. That scene would be far more poetic and effective if the audience knew it was Ludlow who broke the infant's leg.
