That's actually false the housing don't matter its the installation that's the issue. People buy led or hid lights and just install them which is not the proper way. When installation new lights light led or hid you leave your original Halogen bulb in on one side and adjust the led or hid side accordingly to match the Halogen side then install the other side matching the height of the already adjusted side. Doing this keeps your lights in proper adjustment that doesn't blind anyone. People who do lift kits in trucks also don't adjust for the lift. Ive installed hundreds of lights never had an issue. I also prefer buying headlight bulb 1 single time rather than wasting my money on bulbs that don't provide proper lighting for the pitch black country!
@Undomaranel11 ай бұрын
@@icypanda2376 Funny you mention the pitch black country. I'm in the mountains. Can't imagine what older sedans go through, though I remember last decade being blinded in my '96 Outback simply because it was lower to the ground while everyone in newer vehicles were higher up with their low lights aimed right in my face and still blinding me. It's not just about looking to the line. It's car/ driver height. It's headlight angle. It's pitch black vs lights in your face. It's not as bad in the cities when there is some ambient light. But you get on the winding backroads with a waning moon or cloud cover? Opposing traffic can blind you at the worst time, and no amount of "look to the side" can prevent some accidents.

Also just wanted to say the 20,000 lumens was just me joking I do have LED's but they're nowhere near that strong!

@@icypanda2376 I'm in WA. Out east we have wide, straight roads that aren't an issue except the odd tumbleweed and deer. Being able to see is key, which is why I don't begrudge people the LEDs (though the reflections on puddles are trippy). But at the same time, older vehicles get it the worst because everything newer than '00 is just higher off the ground. My immediate advice to you would be to buff both of your headlights. In the thumbnail, it looks like you've polished one of them- the fog on the surface scatters your beam. It's why one of your headlights looks like a headlight, and the other looks like you've trapped Tinkerbell in some milk.

The problem aren't LED, but the car manufacturers. They use old tech on new car. There are two tech available: - moveable lamp according to stering wheel, ensure only needed place illuminate. - multiple led with sensor, turn off a few led - that shine on incoming car and . . car in the front. Manufacturers would splurge on many things, but would claim - that it would raise car price, on safety features. [more profitable if you total the car, survive and bought a new car]

This video is making me question my decision to buy a set of hikari hyperstar LEDs. I get that 20000 lumens is unnecessarily bright but at the same time, they’ve got a good beam pattern. If you need good headlights though that are halogens, I’d go with Sylvia is silverstar ultra, silverstar ZXE, or ZXE gold bulbs. I work at an advance auto parts and I can say from owning the golds that they’re some of the best halogens that money can buy that aren’t at the LED level of brightness.

It will never be 20000lumen. 6000lumen per bulb is the maximum nowadays.

Those silver star bulbs are crap they arnt much brighter and they always burn out in like 6 months

@@ledcarlightmanufacturer6714 bro, xenon has 3000lm with automatic height adjustment/headlight washing, where in halogen headlight there is nothing. And to put there a 6000lm LED bulb, fok me. It should be illegal(it is, actually). Fix you fking headlights first.

Yes yes, number one cause of car accidents are LEDs because no one driving around these guys can see

So it appears Halogen is better than Light Emitting Diodes or High Intensity Discharge.

Try driving in a bad snowstorm with led bulbs and let me know how far you can see when the lenses are completely covered because there is not enough heat in the housing to melt the snow that has completely covered the lense

Lol the main cause of car accidents are THESE LEDs BLINDING OTHER DRIVERS

I thought for sure this video was going to admit the truth about headlights and accidents... That the guy with the LED's is BLINDING everyone who has to drive on the same road with him.

LEDs are great but you NEED to make sure and get leds that mimic the light signature of the factory designed blubs. (Light sorce should be at the same orientation and depth compared to original bulbs)

I agree that Halogens, Xenon, and HID bulbs cause the glare people mistake for LEDs and Halogens are the cause of accidents. Funny how people assume they are blinded by LEDs just by a car passing them. The truth is if a quality 2-sided LED bulb is installed then they actually are less glaring as a Halogen or HID or Xenon bulb and focus is directed downward toward the road and not up at your eyes.

most vehicles come with led lights anyways. i’m abt to get an suv n the first thing im doing…led the low beams and fog lights. even though i agree they do blind u but you suppose to look at the white or yellow line if you’re blind so you can see the road or something. it’s in the book or speeding class course

most people bliding other people, are because of improperly aimed headlights. Most people dont realize that headlight aiming can changes noticeably after a full load, new tires, new shocks, and ride height adjustments. Even difference between empty and full tank of gas. But especially after changing to a different style of bulb from OEM. Like going from Halogen to LED. They have different light shape patterns. I would be money, all those annoying truck LEDs out there, would be safe if they simply reaimed headlight properly after changes.

With led loaded vehicle approaching you definitely you can’t see. Because the beam is always spreaded and messed up. Better to use halogens.

true, i own a 2015 hyundai elantra and it had a halogen head light which is not bright. hit a deer on the highway. never saw it coming, just bought the led head lights and there are awesome. mother bummper can light the entire neighborhood

Imo from what I've seen driving LED themselves aren't the problem, it's the HIGH BEAMS. I'd say about 50% of people I see on the road nowadays just drive with high beams on 100% of the time and give 0 craps about anyone else on the road.

#1 reason why people are having car accidents it's because the oncoming driver is blinded by LED headlights, you can't tell if they have their high beams on or not, and lifted trucks are the worst

Id argue that led lights are the number 1 cause because everytime i see a person with led lights i always lose the road in the light and find myself drifting towards them.

#1 cause of accidents is changing lanes. Headlights aren't in the top 5. LED lights generally have a WORSE pattern and blind other drivers more.

The #1 cause of car accidents? All accidents or just Nighttime accidents? Which study confirmed this? Can you provide the source for the data? Have accidents declined since the era of LED?
