"I thought all of south america was kinda like México"😂 it always happens bro, we are used to things like that and to see European tourists coming on winter barely with clothes thinking that they are in the tropical SA. No problem now you know it. Peace!

Flat out I love that tiny country and modestly I’ve been there 7 times , and knew 14 of 19 departments. The worst part it’s comparing all the stuff with Mexican ...

We all love milanesas! It is yet another food brought by the Italians. The name translates to "Milanese" (from the city of Milan) and it's a fairly common food in the Alpine region, maybe in North American culture you're probably used to its German name, Schnitzel.

Very nice guy. Castellano (Castilian) is actually not a Uruguayan dialect. There are multiple regional languages in Spain, such as Catalan, Vasco, Gallego and Castellano. When Castilla became the dominant power in Spain, their language became the official language of Spain, so for most of the world Castellano is known as Spanish.
@GracieAhora
@GracieAhora 4 жыл бұрын
True, but you’re making it too complicated. The guy is just trying to give a simple, easy to understand explanation to why / how our Spanish is different from the kind of Spanish people in the USA usually hear

Well, we´re very concern about food here and that says a lot about Uruguay. If u care about food then u care about family and friends. If you have the right friendships and keep your family together then you will also do well in business. If you do well then why to worry about costs, ownerships, vehicles, taxes and so on? See? Uruguayan here, a pretty honest review and a show of good understanding. Loved the Alfajor's description... even I find it hard to explain it sometimes! I'd also like to add the word "Vamos!" used as a "Let's go!" when something goes nicely (To pump us up!), we tend to cut the last "S" so it ends up as "Vamo'!"... Also "Vamo' arriba" it's pretty common too. As for usage, "Vamo' arriba La Celeste" is a common saying for cheering our local soccer team :)

A milanesa with ham and mozzarella (and a marinara style sauce)is call Napolitan Milanesa, (milanesa a la napolitana) there's a difference between the 2, and NO, we don't eat a lot of black beans.. seems like you never been to Mexico or Colombia or Brazil or Guatemala...
