Teenagers vacillate from despair/depression to excellation. After teaching them for 35 years, one learns, but we should ALWAYS offer services to those in the despair/depression mode.... soft-entry services, as at least an alternative to alcohol or drugs. Finn is a very healthy, intelligent, resourceful young man with a magical ability to communicate to his peers and to us all, and a face and body that many will find appealing. I hope he inspires millions of teens, and shares with them also his moments of despair. Those feelings are what teenage years are like, from 11-or 12- or 13 to 22-23. Keep our teens well-informed, well-equipped to deal with the many changes of junior high and high school and college or trade school years. It's a springboard to later life, make it rewarding and as painless as possible for those young men and young women in that age group.

Having a successful family youtube channel was a great platform for Finn to take off from. I believe that is what really helped launch his channel. A lot of us who follow Sailing Zatara for years want to help Finn be successful. Great interview guys!

This is a wonderful interview. I'm a 77 year old guy who has known since I was Finn's age than an adventurous life was better than following the herd into a boring routine lifestyle. I encourage any young person to find a way to do some international travel. Your eyes will be opened, and your understanding will grow quickly about the ways of the world.

Hey Juvy👋; Its my first time on your channel, if Finn is in Israel, please ask him to collect some mites and sheckles as souvenirs because the Israelis have used the same currency since Old Testament days. The mite is the same one as the "Widow's Mite" which I owned at the age of 16. Sadly, I lost it in transition, when me and my family was moving house repeatedly😎🏁

They bought the boat in Greece for 875k. The Dad has a pension and retirement fund that helps support them. Main expenses are repairs, boat yard work, and dockage fees. Plus all the visas and customs to get in and out of countries. Add fuel, food, all the toys they have, it gets expensive. Finn forgot to say how incredibly boring that lifestyle can be for teens. They have video games and movies, but I don't think the teens read books. They play games. Other than being deck slaves, doing what Dad orders, they don't seem to be involved in the navigation, repairs, etc. Think about that. Days are loooooong. And no friends other than online. **** with expenses, I forgot to mention boat insurance, which will likely be upward of 30k per year.
@unnamed-aaaaaa7646 Жыл бұрын
You probably have never seen their videos : they all participate in the navigation process doing daily shifts. They donc just play video games and movies, what a shame to say that when they play music instruments, they work on their content (which is basically their job), they kite surf, they do incredible trips, meet so different persons and learn about multiple cultures over the years. Cute to talk about reading, but first u have no idea if they do read, second of all, i bet none of ur grandkids has opened a book in the last decade. Think about that. Btw, they have probably stronger family bounds than most of us leaving in flats on earth. Have a great one Laurence :)
@johnSmith-ms3cb Жыл бұрын
@@unnamed-aaaaaa7646 u mad bro? everything she said was right lmfao. They don't "navigate" shit. Their parents decide very place that they go and how to get there. They are deckhands for sure. The rest of the bullshit you spouted was pretty irrelevant conjecture so I'll leave the not reading to you also. It's expensive af to do everything this kid is handed to him. He doesn't know shit about the costs because his parents keep his ass in the dark cause he's...15.
@laurence9695 Жыл бұрын
I've been watching their channel since they bought the cat in Greece. Yes, they do à lot of sports and watch movies. As far as navigation, they do watches, but I've nvever seen them program à GPS or the autopilot. As soon as there's an issue with their watches, they call Keith. Which they acknowledge. I don't believe they read, only Renée.
@redthreadzen Жыл бұрын
@@laurence9695 Of course they can read. They also do Home school or at least they used too. They hide well that they're relativelly cashed up and have a ranch in montana. They're also right wing conservatives. Finn acts very cool but I wonder how much their fathers conservative opinions rub off on them. Jack seems more effected than Finn.
@lenipeni611 Жыл бұрын
@@laurence9695 you can only tell that from what they are actually recording. They don’t share every second of boat live and what they are doing, so you can’t really know if they for example read or turn on the autopilot

Finn, I have to say I lost a bit of respect for you watching this interview. Talking about a girl in Tanzania and getting to second base was disrespectful to the girl.
