Trust me love. It gets better. Basic for him and I wasn’t easy but you gotta think of the positives. It’s only about 7-11 weeks depending on what branch he went into. Also get used to the distance and being away from each for long periods of time. It’s also because cancers are extremely emotional lol

@@valentinac8594 my boyfriend got out three weeks ago. Finally being able to text him again was the best feeling in the world. I recommend writing letters everyone once in a while ( even if you don’t send them). It helped me mentally to write down sad feelings or angry feelings

@@megananderson4047 he just got to Texas and they have him quarantined in a room till tomorrow then he gets everything confiscated. I’m so nervous for him and once I get the address I’m definitely going to start writing as many letters as I can. How are you and your bf now? Are you guys still together? One of my worries is him forgetting about me or not being able to handle long distance. 😕

@@valentinac8594 Yes please write! Even if you don’t get his address right away, you will both appreciate them in the future. It is okay to be nervous, the 7.5 weeks feels long and short at the same time. Stay busy/ stay active. Good thing summers always fly by fast. So my boyfriend and My feelings got stronger for each other and we are doing well now. We are both planning for the future after tech school and when I can finally visit him. Graduation was on Facebook live so I haven’t got to see him since April. Long distance is hard, but if you really love them, you are willing to wait even though it sucks. Also find out his flight number ASAP, and download “ aim high US Air Force “ on the App Store. They post pictures of each flight and update them every week or two. Finally seeing my boyfriend in one of the pictures was amazing. Feel free to ask me questions whenever! The experience is still fresh in my head

I was trying to find a video like this because there are so many videos of MILSOs during BMT, but not many during Covid-19. I felt like I couldn't relate to a lot of them in that way, but I could relate to almost everything you talked about--from College to letters (just about everything), so thanks for reminding me that we're not alone!

My bf has been gone been for almost a month. It was hard for me too but once I got his address I felt a bit better. Definitely look at the sandboxx app to send letters. He’ll definitely call you in a few weeks. It gets a bit easier just stay busy and occupy your self.

Hi, just wanted to say I loved your video. My boyfriend left for Army basic training a week ago and it's been difficult. He called me to give me his address but I was driving and unable to write down his his address. When he called, it sounded like he was reading off his paper and when I asked if he could call me back or wait cause I was driving, he said he couldn't deviate from his script. I was so sad because I've been writing him but don't know where to send the letters 😔I might have to wait til then :( Thank you again for this video! It's nice to know I'm not alone ❤️

He’ll be serving 4 years but we recently just broke up because of distance. Breakups in the military are so common. I hope yours lasts ❤️

Yes, he got 15 minutes every week to call whoever. He usually split the time in half, first half with his parents, other half with me.
