My terry towelling protector is not noisy at all. It’s natural, soft, flexible and cool. Better than synthetic polyester micro fiber .

Thanks for your comment. That’s statistic came off of a pretty good article. I read once, but the reality is the weight change is a result of bodily fluids. Dirt and waste from dust mites in some cases, but I would think a real expectation would be maybe a year or two of use.

It's not dust mites - it's mostly moisture build up. Depends on your pillow's material. Wash & sun dry

All this talk about warranties-how often does a mattress protector really fail to the point of voiding a warranty?

I would say having one is the most important part. You don’t have to buy one with a warranty but it’s added security because not all protectors are built the same and if a stain gets though one and on to your mattress you could void your mattress warranty. The protector warranty cover your mattress of this happens.
